WASH YOUR HANDS

As we continue to navigate COVID-19, we’re all looking for easy ways to ensure the health of ourselves as well as others. We have learned that social distancing safely is important as well as wearing a mask. Another tool that we can use which takes it back to basics is washing our hands. This activity should be done before, during and after prepping pood. Before you eat, before and after you are caring for someone at home who is sick with vomiting or diarrhea. Before and after treating a cut wound - wash your hands. After you go to the bathroom, after changing diapers or cleaning up a child that has used the toilet. After you blow your nose, cough or sneeze - each time! After touching an animal, animal feed and/or animal waste. When you have handed your pet a treat, head to the sink and wash your hands. This should also be done after touching the garbage.

FOLLOW FIVE STEPS TO WASH YOUR HANDS THE RIGHT WAY

According to the World Health Organization (WHO), clean hands protect from infection and is an effective means to ensure that you are preventing yourself from spreading germs. Clean hands can stop germs from spreading from one person to another and throughout an entire community—from your home and workplace to childcare facilities and hospitals. In an effort to pass on the proper procedure, the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has created five steps that you should do each time that you’re washing your hands.

  1. Wet your hands with clean, running water (warm or cold), turn off the tap, and apply soap.

  2. Lather your hands by rubbing them together with the soap. Lather the backs of your hands, between your fingers, and under your nails.

  3. Scrub your hands for at least 20 seconds. Need a timer? Hum the “Happy Birthday” song from beginning to end twice.

  4. Rinse your hands well under clean, running water.

  5. Dry your hands using a clean towel or air dry them.

One thing about these mountains is that you will always get a splendid view of the city when you reach the top. So when visiting this Seoul city, make sure to carry your hiking boots; you may need them.

7. You will enjoy many things at affordable prices

Seoul is one of the cheapest destinations in Asia. This is particularly the reason why many tourists on a budget make a stop here. The food is very cheap in this city. The street vendors which are situated everywhere in the city are the cheapest option. Accommodations are also affordable. Some hotels offer rooms at $10 or less. Affordable hotels can be found throughout the city. You can also get a massage or haircut at an affordable price at various spas in the city. PLAY'N GO EXPANDS TO LATIN AMERICA

Play’n Go ended the 2010s decade among the top dogs in the gaming industry. The software provider continues to rise to even bigger heights in 2020, one of them being catapulting into new gaming jurisdictions. In December of 2019, Play’n Go entered a deal with BetWarrior that now makes it live in the Latin American market.

BetWarrior is famous for being a leading name in the mobile gaming industry. The deal between the gaming operator and Play’n Go is a significant step in the right direction for both parties involved. Jose Del Pino and Morten Tonneson, who previously worked with PokerStars as marketing directors, launched BetWarrior aiming to reshape mobile gambling. With this deal, the company gains vast content wealth that maximizes its entry into big gambling markets. Play’n Go’s team speaks highly of the firm, stating that it carries a wealth of knowledge about the Latin American market. Collaborating with them in this project is a recipe for success that will see gamblers gain access to quality gaming.

This deal also yields benefits for the Book of Dead free play game developer as well. The online gaming software developer has been looking to dominate the Latin American market even before cooperating with BetWarrior. The game provider first signed a deal with the LatAm operator Codere in September of 2019. BetWarrior was launched in 2019, making it one of the latest startups invested in online sports betting. The company is the brainchild of Jose Del Pino and Morten Tonneson, who formerly worked as marketing directors for PokerStars. The company challenges other stalwarts in the sports betting business by using a mobile-first strategy to deliver gambling services. This means that it mainly targets gamblers using smartphones and tablets running on popular operating systems like iOS and Android. The company is built with the mobile user from scratch using artificial and machine learning intelligence to deliver personal experiences to players. Gift giving is a very thoughtful way of showing affection and care. When presenting gifts randomly, it may be easy to gather different items into beautiful gift hampers for your loved ones, but it’s a bit different when there’s an occasion.

Anniversaries

Gifts can include cake, chocolates, getting the person an item they always wanted but don’t have yet, taking the person out to a special place, an item in the person’s favorite color and the icing on the cake – a beautiful card.

Birth of a baby

The presence of a new baby is usually a joyful and beautiful time for a couple, so almost all gifts will be welcome. As amazing as this sounds, this is also a great time to find thoughtful heartwarming gifts for both mum and child. Gift hampers containing self-care products for the mum and baby will be appreciated. Other gifts include; toys and clothing for the baby, baby monitors and strollers. When in doubt, however, another good idea is to give the couple some money to buy what they might need.

House warming party

This is another event where both personal and random gifts can suffice. If the house owner is a close friend, a great place to start will be from checking out items they may need in the house that haven’t been bought yet. It could be kitchen items, living room decorations, bedroom accessories etc. One could also get less personal items like antiques, art pieces or even a bottle of wine and some cookies that everyone can drink and eat while they admire the new house.

Wedding

A wedding is an excellent opportunity to give gifts that symbolize togetherness and love. Frames, albums, houseware sets, home appliances and kitchen items are all fantastic ideas. Tickets to visit a beautiful place of their choice is another heartwarming gift that would be greatly appreciated by the couple.

Finding the perfect gift may be tasking, but the best heart-warming gifts are the ones that come from the heart. When in doubt, however, already packed gift hampers for different occasions come in handy.

Destinations, hotels and attractions are working diligently to make it safe for travelers to visit, but we’re living in a reality where social distancing (and wearing a mask) is the prudent thing to do to keep yourself and others safe. Glamp Near a National Park: Just minutes from Jackson Hole, Wyoming, Fireside Resort offers 25 pint-sized, luxuriously outfitted tiny house rental units designed by Wheelhaus. Facing A Quarter Life Crisis In Your 20s: How To Navigate The Period Of Unease Early On

In recent years, the term ‘quarter-life crisis’ has become more familiar and widely publicized. As more adults in their 20s come forward with their quarter-life experiences, it is becoming clear that today’s millennials are facing an enormous amount of pressure and uncertainty when it comes to their future. In a survey by Portafina, a staggering 82 percent of 24-35-year-olds said they experienced a crisis. Further research by LinkedIn showed that 77 percent of 25-33-year-olds have gone through a quarter-life crisis. In a time of your life where many of your peers are focusing on building their careers and achieving life goals, finding yourself in a place of self-doubt and confusion, and experiencing feelings of anxiety about your life can be unnerving if it's not handled correctly. The first step to getting through this crisis? Accepting that it is normal, even in your 20s.

Find Your Trigger, And Regain Control By Reevaluating Your Options

When asked what the most common triggers for a quarter-life crisis were, a LinkedIn study found that it was job dissatisfaction. The widening gap that may appear during your 20s as your friends’ lives take different turns, coupled with the pressures of social media, can leave millennials constantly comparing themselves to unrealistic standards. Other triggers can include dissatisfaction in your personal life and a stressful work environment. 

The best way to cope with a quarter-life crisis is to identify the underlying causes. One good way to narrow it down is to note down all the things you are happy with in different aspects of your life, such as your career, family and personal health. From this, you can highlight what you are unhappy with, and begin to chart a path to improving it.

Find Your Way Of Switching Off

Even though the common perception is that life in your 20s is meant to be carefree, it turns out that is not the case for many workers in their 20s. A past survey by Harris showed that 76 percent of adults aged 18-33 years old are stressed by work, while 73 percent say money is their top stressor. With an increasing emphasis being placed on early success, and widespread social media personas having their lifetime careers all figured out before the age of 30, many millennials are now feeling the pressure to live up to both personal and societal expectations. However, career pivoting and second chance careers are becoming more common, and this can help with truly finding a sense of purpose and settling on choices that are both rewarding and fulfilling.

Another point to note is that many younger workers find themselves working long hours to achieve their career goals sooner rather than later, which sets them up for the common work burn out and poor mental well-being. Therefore, you must carve out time in your personal and professional life to switch off from the stressors in your career. Find a balance for personal hobbies, goals and pastimes such as travel, regular exercise and self-care activities. Past research has shown that both travel and exercise can counteract stress. Additionally, try to set strict boundaries between your work and personal life; making time to enjoy family time and events

Shatter And Redefine Your Expectations Based On Reality 

Finally, it can be helpful to perform an honest review of your life goals, values and what has changed. With social media giving rise to unrealistic expectations for many millennials, the pressure to achieve certain life or career goals before the age of 30 can be crushing, and often leaves an unfillable gap between expectations and reality. Therefore, you must remove those unrealistic expectations and become comfortable with more attainable goals. A great place to start is by setting small timed or measurable life goals. It can also be a great place to beginning charting the changes you wish to see in your life and acts as a motivator.

It can also be helpful to look towards the future. Once you have narrowed down the aspects of your life that are making you unhappy, look at the future paths for improving them. If you are bored at your job, research routes for upskilling, or a potential career change. Similarly, if you are feeling stressed or lacking great health, speak to your GP about a plan to get your health back on track. Small, achievable steps forward can help feel in control of your life again and get you through this period.

LEARN HOW TO FILE YOUR NAILS INTO YOUR FAVORITE NAIL SHAPE

Whether you’ve started going back to your manicurist or are still doing it at home within your bubble, during these times of COVID-19. we all could use a refresher on nail shapes (we tend to lean towards a squoval but may want to change it up a bit). Ana of Sundays Nail Salon breaks down the shapes (originally on the nail salon’s blog).

Oval, squoval, square, round, stiletto, almond-there are so many different shapes that you can achieve by filing your nails. Having to pick how you want your nails to look can get overwhelming, but we all tend to gravitate towards that one nail shape that really makes us feel confident and happy to look down at our hands. Even when we visit nail salons and the nail specialist asks us which nail shape we desire, we find ourselves always going with the same choice (oval or square). We don’t really get to experiment with different shapes, but now’s the time!

Your nail shape can really transform the appearance of your hands so it’s always fun to experiment with new shapes and find which one really speaks to you. But every shape requires a different filing motion and here’s how to achieve each one!

Prep Your Nails

Before you choose your desired nail shape, make sure that your nails are dry. Filing wet nails can really cause damage or even break your nails. Also, make sure you have a nail clipper handy if you need to shorten your nails. When it comes to your nail file we recommend using a softer emery cushion board.

Oval

This shape is definitely a more traditional one and can visually elongate your hands. If you’d like to achieve an oval shape, file your nail at a diagonal in an egg-like shape, really going in on the sides. But make sure that you’re filing towards one direction, instead of using the back and forth motion.

Square 

If you want a square shape start filing from the middle. Really go in on the middle part of your nail and then file away towards yourself. 

Squoval

Start by filling the top of your nails straight across. Then go in on the sides to round the corners of your nails. 

 Round

Ah, this one is a classic! Start at the side of the nail and file towards the center in a movement towards the same direction. When you notice one side getting rounder move to the other side of the nail.

Stiletto

This nail shape is really for the brave! Your nails have to be a little longer to achieve a stiletto look. We recommend you start by trimming the edges of the nail with a nail clipper at a diagonal. File at the sides to bring in the tip of the nail. Alternate between filing both sides to make sure they’re even. 

Almond

Almond shape also requires a bit of a longer nail. To cut the filing time, use a nail clipper to cut the sides on the nail. File the sides in motion towards the middle. Make sure you’re not filing too much on one side and that the sides are even.

SEASONAL TRANSITION SIGNALS CHANGE IN OUR SKINCARE ROUTINE

1.     Pain in Foot/Leg

Pain in the leg and foot can be an indication of serious foot disease, especially if you cannot link the pain to any particular reason such as you physically hurting your leg. If you physically hurt your foot, you can use pain relief medicine or massage the foot with a pain-relieving cream. It should even go away on its own as long as you don’t exacerbate the injury.

On the other hand, if you feel a sharp pain in your foot without any traceable reason, you might be dealing with a serious health issue. Asides from being caused by the weather or a major health challenge, warm feet can be caused by a change in environment (relocation).

It can also be caused by a minor health issue such as malaria, common cold and such. The key difference is that your leg will feel warm, not hot. Since it might be hard to tell the difference between the warm feet being a sign or a minor health issue or a major one, it is crucial for you to visit your doctor for diagnosis.

4.     Unusually Cold Feet

Again, depending on the weather, your feet might feel cooler than usual. That does not indicate a major health challenge, although you should still remain observant to know what is happening. However, you should be alarmed when your feet feel unusually cold without it being induced by the weather.

If you feel such, especially when accompanied by other health deviations as described in the previous point, you should seek your podiatrist’s expertise. This is because very cold feet that isn’t due to weather conditions is not a normal health experience.

5.     Swelling of the Feet

Generally, when there is swelling of any part of the body, it is not a normal health experience; swelling of the feet is no different. At times the swelling might not obvious, and at other times, it might be absolutely obvious, depending on the size of the expansion.

Swelling of the feet might be due to a minor injury/impact to the leg, pregnancy or due to an underlying major health challenge.

Some causes of feet swelling include toenails or ankle/leg injury, edema, heart diseases, kidney diseases, venom from insect/animal bite or sting etc. Since it is almost impossible to know the major cause of the swelling, it is crucial to visit a doctor to get diagnosed.

6.     Numbness

Numbness of feet is the loss of sensation or feeling in the foot. What is basically affected is the sense of touch. The numbness of feet is an experience most people have from time to time. It might be due to weather conditions like extreme cold, being immobile for a lengthy duration, hitting one’s foot hard and the likes. This is usually a temporary condition, so it is nothing to worry about.

The situation becomes something to worry about when you start gradually losing sensation in your foot. Once you notice that the numbness is becoming a regular thing, you should seek medical attention immediately. This is because numbness of feet could easily degenerate into a major foot problem fast.

Be especially careful because recurrent feet numbness that becomes the norm is a telling symptom of loss of sensory nerves. Also, the numbness could lead to Charcot’s foot. As an indication, feet numbness associated with major foot problems and major health challenges are usually accompanied by other weird symptoms in the feet.

7.     Change in Color

Change in feet color is usually a sign of a minor/major foot condition or a minor/major health challenge. The only exceptions when the change in color mean nothing is when you hit your leg hard, and it becomes red. It could also be due to harsh weather, pregnancy or uncomfortable shoes. In such cases, the feet can become red, blue or even purple.

If the above exceptions were not the case and yet you are experiencing a change in feet color, you should consult your doctor as soon as you can. Some health conditions associated with feet discoloration include diabetes, high blood pressure, ischemic foot, Raynaud’s disease, Acrocyanosis and the likes.

8.     Firm/Hard Formations on Feet

Usually, firm/hard formations on the feet are usually nothing really serious, especially if they are bunions, corns or calluses, but they could trigger foot infection and other problems.

If you notice these firm formations on your foot, try to observe and understand if they were caused by your own actions or not. If they were not caused by factors like hard labor, ill-fitting footwear and what have you, they might have been caused by something bigger like a major foot disorder/condition.

You can’t be too sure until you visit your podiatrist. Even if it turns out to be just the normal foot issues without any underlying major health issue involved, you would be at ease knowing that your health is okay. And besides, you could even get the firm formations treated or removed.

9.     Foot Infections

Foot infections can occur due to lack of body, more specifically, feet hygiene or lack of care after a foot injury. Lack of hygiene/proper care of the feet could lead to bacterial and other microorganisms finding their way into the feet. This then builds up to cause an infection that could birth conditions like warts, fungus, feet inflammation/swelling, pus filling, etc.

If proper treatment and care is given to the feet and the whole body, the infection could disappear in no time. But if left untreated, the foot infection could degenerate into major health damages. Some of which include athlete’s foot (untreatable), cellulitis, vein-penetrated toenails, among others.

10.  Unusual feet Smell

It is both normal and abnormal for the feet to smell. It is normal in the sense that lots of people, particularly men, experience smelly feet. This is particularly after a day of sweating while wearing socks and shoes.

However, it can be abnormal because feet should not smell weird if proper feet hygiene is maintained, and footwear care is practiced. Regardless, if you are used to perceiving a particular type of smell from your feet, and you notice a deviation from that, something might be wrong.

Generally, the feet’s smell rarely changes and is highly dependent on your hygiene routine or general lifestyle (food included). If you notice that your feet have developed an unusual smell, you should seek the expertise of your doctor.

11.  Change of Feet Shape and Toenails

The feet do not normally change shape, so this condition is usually triggered by a preexisting health condition, foot/leg injury or wearing ill-fitting footwear. The feet adjust over time to a given pattern, and after the feet have accepted its new form, it can be hard to correct. The change in feet or toe could be caused by conditions such as Charcot foot, hammer toe, mallet toe etc. To fix the condition before it becomes permanent or even degenerate to something bigger, you need to visit your podiatrists as soon as possible.

You may also notice a change in your toenails without any known cause. The toenails might start thickening abnormally, growing inward, changing color and the likes. Inform your doctor of your observation to seek proper treatment.

With  international travel strongly advised against right now, a staycation might be the only option you have if you’re itching to feed your travel bug. It's cheaper, easier to plan, and much safer than international travel, since you don't necessarily have to come into contact with other people. On top of that, it gives you an opportunity to explore some of the amazing spots in the US that you've never been to. But, just because you're traveling domestically, you don't need to skimp on fashion. In fact, since there's a good chance that you may run into people you know, a staycation gives you the perfect opportunity to show that you're still on top of your fashion game. Plus, it will make for great photos to show off on social media. Here's how to dress up for different types of staycation. 

Heading to the beach 

With beaches across the country opening up, it's a good time to head over to the sunny shores and have a good time. But, before you throw your swimsuit into a bag and head off, keep in mind that beach fashion goes far beyond swimwear. For a fantastic look, you want something comfortable, casual and fun. You can start by picking out a cute bikini set. Then, pair it up with a cover-up that is easy to throw on over your bikini such as a wrap dress, wrap skirt or lounge pant. You also want to have a bag that looks good and is big enough to hold your beach essentials, such as sunscreen or your phone, but not so big that it looks like you're moving into the beach. A pair of sunglasses that looks good on your face and matches your outfit can also add to the look, while protecting your eyes from the glaring summer sun. 

Taking a road trip 

Road trips are the safest staycation option right now, since they involve the least amount of contact with strangers. But choosing what to wear on one can give you a dilemma. You want to look cute, but comfort should probably be higher on your list of priorities, especially if it's a long road trip. You can start your look with a tank top or fitting tee with a button-down long sleeve shirt on top. The next thing to have on is a pair of comfortable shorts that are not too tight. If you prefer full leg coverage, go with leggings over trousers or jeans, as they will be more comfortable when sitting in a car for hours. For the shoes, you want a cool pair of flats or casual sneakers that would look good on you if you were standing in the middle of Times Square, but can also handle any rough terrains you come across on your way. You can also pack a swimsuit or have it on under your outfit in case you come across a lake or river and you feel like jumping in. 

Since your clothes speak for you before you do, make sure that you're always getting the right message across. Whether you are going to a nearby beach or taking a 300-mile road trip across the country, wear something that's comfortable, makes you feel good about yourself, and is sure to turn a few heads.

HEMP OIL TIPS: HOW YOU SHOULD TAKE IT FOR MAXIMUM BENEFITS

There are two ways you can use hemp oil orally: through tinctures and concentrates.

·       Tincture: Hemp oil tinctures are more well-known than hemp concentrates because these usually contain natural ingredients and essential oils aside from the hemp. A hemp oil tincture is usually sold in a glass bottle with a dropper so the product can be dispensed easily.

·       Concentrate: Unlike tinctures, hemp concentrates don't have any additional ingredients as these are extracted directly from the hemp seeds. Pure hemp oil concentrates are paste-like or runny oils that come in syringe packaging.

To use the tincture, dispense the hemp oil through the dropper under your tongue. On the contrary, use the syringe to dispense the pure hemp oil concentrate on your finger, spoon, or under your tongue. 

Dispensing the hemp oil underneath your tongue is necessary because of the capillary glands that absorb the oil quickly. Aside from that, you don't have to waste the potency of the product as using it orally can help you receive a significant amount of hemp.

Furthermore, keep in mind that hemp oil can taste like dirt or grass, especially if you prefer concentrates. Thus, you can chug some juice to remove the nasty aftertaste.

Incorporate Hemp Oil Into Your Skincare

MOST EXCITING YOUNG ATHLETES RIGHT NOW

It’s fair to say that we’ve gone through a bit of a shakeup in the sporting world in recent months. To state the obvious, coronavirus has caused havoc in sports all around the world. With such dark times looming around so many nations of the world, however, we figured it was time to focus on some of the positives in the sporting world. Specifically, we thought we’d take the time to highlight some of the most exciting young athletes that are filling sports fans with joy in recent years. 

Whether you enjoy betting on these players, watching them in action, or simply following their success stories, we are sure you will enjoy the information contained within the categories below. 

CoCo Gauff (16yo) - Tennis

CoCo Gauff shot to fame at Wimbledon in 2019, when she managed to overcome the previous champion, Venus Williams, by a score of 6-4 6-4. She showed the world that she is a player to be taken seriously, and she managed to achieve such a feat at just 15 years old. This makes her the youngest female player in almost 20 years to make it through the first round in the ladies championships. Ironically, it was Venus Williams’ sister Serena who first inspired Gauff to start playing tennis.

Gauff wasn’t done there, however, for she progressed to the fourth round at Wimbledon, and then replicated this performance at the US Open. In 2020 she reached the fourth round of the Australian Open tournament, losing to Sofia Kenin who went on to win the event. After her performance at the Australian Open, she's already referred to as a new legend. We have a feeling that CoCo will be putting schoolwork on the back burner this year as she concentrates on her tennis, and we can’t wait to watch how she develops over the next few years. 

She is now 16 years old and has a net worth of $500,000 - not bad for someone who is only just old enough to drive in the USA!

Rodrygo (19yo – Real Madrid) - Football

It’s about time a young Brazilain footballer started to emerge through the ranks. Rodrygo is currently just 19 years old, and he is already impressing the managers at the famous Real Madrid club. He made the move to Real Madrid back in 2019 for a cool €45 million, which was pretty large for a player who is still a teenager. He plays on the wing for Madrid right now, and he is quick, skillful, and cool under pressure.

These traits caught the attention of the Brazilian national squad too, and Rodrygo made his debut for them at just 18 years old. Coming back to his domestic career, when he was called up to play for Real Madrid in the first team, he scored his debut goal within one minute. Since then he has also gone on to put in stellar performances in the Champions League, so we are excited about this guy right now!

Simone Biles (23yo) - Gymnastics 

Simone Biles is just an absolute superstar - no questions asked. She made her mark on the world back in the Rio Olympics in 2016, with an incredible 4 gold medals and 1 bronze. All of this was achieved when she was just 19 years old too, which is even more impressive. For those who thought that this was just a fluke or a one-off, Biles went on to claim 5 gold medals during the World Championships in 2019.

She is understandably one of the very best athletes to emerge from the USA in recent years, and her global performances will no doubt get better and better as time goes on. It would have been fantastic to watch her in action at the 2020 Olympics, but unfortunately, with global events, we will need to wait until 2021 to see her perform on such a stage.

Conclusion

Sport is slowly but surely returning to our screens, and indeed to our world. We truly hope that these three superstars are staying fit and healthy during this downtime, and we feel that they will come back hungrier than ever for success. This hunger will no doubt drive even more impressive performances from all of them, although we have a feeling that we won’t truly see them all back in full flow until 2021.

One thing is certain, however, we will be tuning in for when they are back in action.

Outdoor recreation can take many forms. Whether you delve into the woods or comb the coast, these activities will keep you coming back out!

Did you know that doing something as simple as stepping outside and getting some fresh air is one of the most beneficial things you can do for both your body and mind?

There are tons of health benefits that come along with breathing in fresh air. Fresh air can help to clean out your lungs, provide you with an energy boost, lower your blood pressure, improve your mood, and help you in lots of other ways.

If the coronavirus pandemic has prevented you from getting much fresh air lately, do something about it. There are plenty of outdoor recreation ideas you can put to the test this summer to get the fresh air that you need.

Hiking

If you want to get fresh air, you can do it by going for a walk around your neighborhood. But unfortunately, that air isn't always going to be as crisp and clean as it could be.

If you want to give yourself access to the cleanest air possible, going for a hike on a nature trail is definitely the way to go. You can lose yourself out in nature for an afternoon and reap the rewards from it when you do.

Trying to track down the right trail to go hiking on? The National Trails System consists of almost 200,000 miles worth of trails located on federal lands and more than 40,000 miles worth of trails located on state lands.

There are sure to be at least a few great hiking trails in your general area. Pack up some basic hiking gear and take one of them on to get all the fresh air you could ever possibly want.

Mountain Biking

If you don't own a bike, mountain biking might not be an option for you right now. The coronavirus pandemic created a huge spike in bicycle sales in recent months, and it has made it almost impossible for people to get their hands on bikes at this time.

But if you're lucky enough to already have a bike, mountain biking might prove to be a great alternative to hiking. You can explore a lot of the same nature trails that you would on two feet on two wheels and cover more ground in the process.

It's a good idea to come up with a plan as far as where you're going to go on your bike if you decide to give mountain biking a try. You can travel a lot further than you might think on a bike, which might open up opportunities to see things in your area that you've never been able to see before.

Just make sure you're prepared to get a good workout in. Riding a mountain bike can be more difficult than it looks if you haven't ridden around on one in a while now.

Kayaking

Hiking and mountain biking are both really fun outdoor recreation activities. But if you do them during the dog days of summer, you're going to work up quite a sweat. It might actually be too much for some people to take.

If you're concerned about sweating too much while hiking or mountain biking, might we suggest kayaking instead? Kayaking will put you out on the water where you'll be able to soak up some sun while also providing yourself with plenty of water to keep yourself cool.

There are so many places throughout the U.S. where people love to go kayaking. Some of the best kayaking destinations include:

  • Chesapeake Bay

  • Colorado River

  • Tampa Bay

  • Prince William Sound

  • Mulberry River

You're also more than welcome to keep your kayak a little closer to home if you want. All you need is a small river or lake to go on a kayaking adventure.

Hunting

Most people automatically associate hunting with the fall and winter months. They think about hunters going out to hunt for deer under the cloak of darkness on cold fall and winter mornings.

But it's worth noting that there are lots of hunting opportunities for those who don't want to get stuck on the sidelines in the summertime as far as hunting is concerned. You can hunt for everything from wild hogs to pronghorn antelope depending on where you live or where you're willing to travel.

If you decide to go in this direction, it's smart to stock up on the right hunting gear. You might not need to bundle up when you go hunting in the summer, but you should have things like the best 2020 hunting binoculars on you at all times.

Fishing

In recent years, there have been a lot more people fishing than in years past. Almost 50 million people have been going fishing at least once each year, which is up dramatically from a decade ago.

And that number is likely going to grow to be even higher in 2020. With people dying to get outside and enjoy the fresh air, many of them are making fishing their preferred outdoor recreation activity.

Would you like to join them? To do it, you should make sure that you have:

  • A valid fishing license for your specific state

  • A fishing rod and a reel to go along with it

  • Heavy-duty fishing line

  • Various fishing hooks, weights, bobbers, and lures

  • Bait

There are few things as enjoyable as spending a long day out on a lake or by a lake fishing. It'll give you time to unwind while hopefully snagging a few fish to take home.

Bird Watching

When you step outside of your home every day, you're likely surrounded by birds. It's why it's so easy for some people to take birds for granted.

But birds are magical creatures that come in so many different shapes and sizes. There are well over 1,000 bird species in the U.S. alone at this time.

You should get out there and try to see as many of them as you can in your area. Every year, about 45 million people make it their mission to go on bird-watching expeditions.

You might even want to invest in a high-quality camera that'll allow you to take photos of all the birds that you see. You'll find that you feel at peace when you're out in nature looking for birds and watching them fly around.

Rock Climbing

Are you a thrill-seeker? Then doing something like fishing, bird watching, or even hiking is probably not going to get your adrenaline going enough. You need something more intense than those things to get you out of bed in the morning!

To which we say: How about rock climbing? Of all the outdoor activities listed here, rock climbing is easily the most intense. You'll be able to get your blood pumping by conquering the best rock climbing locations in your area.

Rock climbing is also one of the best all-around exercises that you can do. You're going to target almost every single muscle in your body at some point when you're rock climbing.

Relaxing at the Beach

Almost all of the outdoor recreation activities on this list are going to call for you to put in your fair share of effort while participating in them. Even something like fishing will require you to move around and tire you out.

If you don't have the energy right now to take part in these outdoor activities, something as simple as going to the beach might be your best bet. You can sit on the beach for a few hours and let all your troubles melt away while you're doing it.

There are, unfortunately, some beaches in places like California that have closed down during the coronavirus pandemic. You want to steer clear of these beaches to stay within the limits of the law.

But as long as there are beaches in your area that are open, you should take advantage of them and all that they can provide. Going to the beach can set you up with tons of benefits like:

  • Reduced stress

  • Increased vitamin D levels

  • Improved sleep later on

It can also give you a place to gather with family members and friends. A day of fun in the sun might be just what you all need right now.

Fitness is a lifestyle, not just a hobby. Those of us who want to stay in shape know that this statement is more than just a simple cliche. However, there are times when you want to take a break and relax. Or maybe you can’t do any sports because of medical problems. Chess

Your mind is just as important as your body. And chess is one of the best ways to train it. This tactical game dates back a couple of centuries and renowned players have rightfully garnered respect from everyone. If you don’t have time to meet face to face with other people to play this game, there are numerous online versions that you can try.

Fishing

Fishing isn’t just relaxing, but also useful. Depending on where you live, you might need a permit, but it’s usually worth it. This hobby can feed your family, and it also gives you an excuse to stay more outside when you find your house to be just a little too boring or too loud. Ever dreamed of traveling to another country? Why not start learning their language? You’ll have an easier time interacting with the locals, and you’ll be able to go on your own without a tour guide for the most part. Best of all, you’ll be able to make friends from other countries that don’t speak English all that well.

Write a book or a diary

Writing is the simplest form to express your creativity and allow your emotions out without having to speak to other people. If you’re more of an introverted type, it might even help you develop communication skills. If your travel budget is not very generous, yet you still want to take some time off and visit a new place, you can also keep eyes on travel deals. Thankfully, there are many trusted websites that offer noteworthy deals on flights, cruises, vacation packages, and hotels.

By checking such websites or using travel apps, you can get considerable price drops and cater to your needs while staying within the budget you have at disposal.

Travel with other people

One of the best ways to feed your interest in traveling without spending much is to get your friends or family members with you and thus share the expenses. Sharing a room with another person will enable you to save and use the money to pay for other travel-related services. Not to mention that if something bad happens, there will be somebody there to help you.

However, if you’re more of a solo traveler but you don’t mind sharing a room with other people, hostels are worth trying. You won’t just save, but you will also have the chance to meet people from various other places and exchange knowledge and experience.

When you only have a few days at disposal to get out of your town or country and a limited budget, another good option is camping. Once you know your destination, look for camping sites. Some such places are so affordable that you can station for longer and still stick to your budget.

Aside from the above-mentioned tips, there are also other small things you should pay attention to if you want to keep your travel expenses as low as possible. For example, try not to surrender to the temptation of buying all sorts of souvenirs that would later prove not to serve your needs.

Yes, souvenirs are an important part of traveling since they will bring back bits of your experience whenever you see those items, but if you want to stick to your initial budget plan, it is best to have a clear list of ‘yes’ and ‘no’.

HOW TO STAY FIT WHEN YOU'RE STUCK AT HOME?

The ongoing pandemic has had a huge impact on the world around us. The impact is not the same in all countries, though - in Europe, many of them are easing restrictions, reopening bars, restaurants, pubs, and gyms, even cinemas. In other areas, things are not looking this good, with the number of cases still growing fast, and no relaxation is in sight. And people there are still stuck at home.

The longer the lockdown lasts, the longer gyms are closed, the longer we’re stuck at home with little more to do than sitting in front of a big-screen TV or a computer, binge-watching Netflix and ordering food instead of eating out. And the larger our bellies can grow because of our greatly reduced workouts.

But there are ways in which you can stay fit even on the longest lockdown in our recent history. And contrary to popular belief, you don’t necessarily have to invest in a Peloton to do so.

Portion control

There are two key factors to keep in mind when it comes to fitness: what goes in, and what goes out. Your body is an incredibly complex machine but there are some pretty simple and straightforward rules it obeys. One of them is that the more fuel you put in it, the more it will keep in reserve - as fat.

So, if you want to keep your waistline from gaining inches, you’ll need to watch how much fuel you put into your body - how much you eat. This is especially important during these trying times filled with stress-inducing news - stress-eating is a thing, and it can affect any of us if we’re not careful.

So, using smaller plates, and always keeping an eye on how much of you eat (including those snacks while binge-watching Warrior Nun) is the first step to keeping yourself lean and eating healthy while on lockdown.

Simple yet effective exercises

The other part of the equation has to do with the energy you spend each day. When you’re stuck at home, you tend to take it easy. And in time, all this “dolce far niente” starts to show. But you can prevent it by doing simple exercises that don’t require much space or investment.

Simple bodyweight exercises are perfect for a home workout. Everyone has heard of pushups, sit-ups, and squats - you can mix in chest lifts, planks, and their likes. Perhaps this is the perfect time to pick up yoga - there are plenty of tutorials fit for beginners and more advanced practitioners of this ancient art.

And most importantly, don’t let go. In these trying times, giving in to the temptation of sitting on the couch all day, binge-watching Warrior Nun on Netflix and filling yourself up with snacks between meals. And know that this, too, will end.

THE SCIENCE BEHIND BODY BUILDING: WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

Are you looking to add more muscle mass to your body? Perhaps you're wondering how to build muscle fast to get you in shape for the big vacation. Maybe you want to learn more about muscle growth and how it relates to your workouts.

You can't just simply start lifting weights and expect to grow muscle. There's much more to it than lifting and eating healthier. Knowing the science behind bodybuilding can help you improve your physique once and for all.

1. Consistency Is Key

If you want to see measurable results in muscle growth, then you'll have to be willing to work for it.

Many people have the misconception of thinking that muscle growth is as easy as hitting the gym a few times a week. They think that as long as they do bench press and arm curls, they'll see a noticeable difference.

To see a total transformation, you need to be as consistent as possible. That means dedicating yourself to hitting the gym 5 or 6 times each week, for 45-minute workouts.

Any more than 45-minutes and you'll be sacrificing your muscle endurance. Any less than 45-minutes and you aren't giving yourself an intense enough workout to see results.

2. Your Diet Play a Huge Factor

For many people, the sacrifice isn't in attending the gym 5 or 6 times each week and working out. It feels good to do that part of it.

However, where many people fall short is in their daily diet and supplementation intake. 

If you're looking to shred body fat, then you need to lessen your caloric intake. If you're looking to gain muscle mass, then you should heighten your caloric intake.

However, it isn't as simple as merely eating fewer calories. You need to focus on the macronutrients that you ingest when you eat. There are three types: carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

Each of them produces energy for your body, but it's important to count your intake of each. For example, if you're wanting to shred fat, then you need to reduce the number of carbs in your diet.

Regardless of whether you're looking to lose weight or gain weight, you should be focused on increasing your muscle mass. To do that, you need to aim to intake 1 gram of protein for every pound that you weigh.

3. Supplementation is Crucial

For those of you that are on the fence of whether to take supplementation, here's something to consider: to gain results you don't have, you need to add something you aren't currently doing.

When it comes to building lean muscle mass, that "something" is taking the right supplementation. 

Many people think that supplementation is a scam that the workout industry came up with to create a profit. Correction: some supplementation is a scam, but those that are backed up by science are extremely helpful to your goals.

SARMs are a perfect example of that. It stands for selective androgen receptor modulators. SARMs research indicates that those who take it benefit from lean muscle growth, more gains, and increased performance in workouts and sports.

Daily supplementation can help you boost your activity in the gym, which will help you see your desire results a lot faster.

4. You Need to Rest

Make no mistake, the amount of rest that you give your muscles is just as important as the work you put in at the gym. 

For your muscles to grow, they need the time to recover and reconstruct the muscle fiber that you tear during your heavy workouts. Over time, this will lead to increased muscle mass.

What's important is to remember to make healthy choices during those periods of resting. You need to incorporate your diet into the muscle recovery time to see the best results.

For example, you should aim to consume protein within the initial 30-minute window following the end of your workout. Protein shakes are great for this, but you can also consider eating protein bars as well.

Rest also pertains to giving yourself enough days off from the gym. If you go to the gym 5 times a week, then be sure to spread out the rest days evenly. Do three days on, one day off, two days on, one day off, then repeat. 

5. Embrace the Pain

This is another area where most beginners fall short in their training. They stop lifting weights after their muscles start to hurt.

However, pain is the sign that you should keep going. It's when your muscles start to tear down, thus causing them to swell and lactic acid to come temporarily fill the space in the tears. 

Over time, those tears get replaced with proteins, which is what causes your muscles to grow. But all of that starts with you fighting through the pain and pushing yourself every time you're at the gym. Focus on pushing yourself with each exercise you do.

Use the Science Behind Body Building to Your Advantage

Now that you've seen and understand more of the science behind bodybuilding, it's vitally important that you apply this information to your workouts.
