Nov and Nov 20th, The City of Seoul will launch a two city pop up with Sweet Seoul, starting in Paris at L’Appartement Lafayette and ending in New York at Jungsik. Sweet Seoul will give New Yorkers a chance to experience traditional Korean sweets expertly crafted by five top Korean pastry chefs for a free two-day tasting and exhibition on November 20th from 11am - 4pm and November 21st from 1pm – 4pm at the two Michelin-starred Jungsik in Tribeca.
The exciting tasting event will spotlight the talents of the following popular culinary concepts in Seoul, which will showcase their healthy and unique rice-based desserts for one hour each in the following order:
· Dongbyung Sangryoun: A Korean dessert café owned by Park Kyung-mi, the apprentice and master of Joseon Dynasty royal cuisine, showcases Chinese quince tea, as well as five-color half-moon rice cakes, green tea flavored tea cakes, pan-fried rice cakes and candied balloon flower roots.
· Biwon: A rice cake shop that opened in 1949 with 70 years of tradition. Using local ingredients like walnuts, pine nuts, chestnuts, cinnamon, jujubes, honey, and yuzu as filling for their popular tuteoptteok that is covered with roasted black adzuki bean paste.
· Gangjeong House: The pioneers of a genre of Korean dessert called ‘Gangjeong’, candied rice puffs. They present sweet rice puffs of new combinations that reflect trends such as oatmeal blueberry sweet rice puffs and assorted nut bars covered with chocolate.
· Kimssibooin: A whole table of desserts based on the Joseon culture of preparing one table per person. Signatures of Kimssibooin include Today’s Rice Cake, strawberry balls with strawberry filling, candied five-flavor berries, candied apples and fried twist cookies.
· Haap: Chef Shin Yong-il of the dessert café Haap creates rice cakes or sweets that form a union of traditional cooking methods and modern techniques. Signatures of Haap include Gaeseong-style honey cookies, leavened rice cakes and traditional honey cookies.
The chefs’ signature dishes will be presented on traditional Korean style small dining tables (soban), bowls with lids (haap), plates, and other tableware, to create a beautiful dessert table.
The Korean desserts will be showcased alongside Korean handicrafts such as vases, food trays, and cushions, created by Seoul artists with a modern taste and various materials such as ceramics, glass, fabric, wood, and stone, along with a 3D printer, will also be spotlighted at the exhibition. Handicraft works will be showcased from Jang Hye-gyeong, Kim Sang-in, Ryu Jong-dae, OTTOTT, Mono Collection, OUGLASSWORK, and Yeom Dong-hoon.
After the exhibition and tasting event, Korean pastry chefs from Haap, Gangejeong House, Biwon, and Dongbyung Sangryoun will collaborate with Eunji Lee, Executive Pastry Chef of Jungsik in the 10 HANDS Collaboration Dessert Tasting. The chefs will present traditional Korean dishes reinterpreted in the western form and Kyungmoon Kim, first and only Master Sommelier certified by The Court of Master Sommelier, will pair traditional Korean beverages to accompany the dessert collaboration. The collaboration, which is only available through advanced reservations, is priced at $85 with an optional wine pairing and starts at 6pm.

Back in 2017, Kanye West made a promise saying that everyone who wanted to buy Yeezys would be able so do so in the near future. Fast-forward to the present, and that now appears to be true, sort of.
Over the last couple of years adidas and Kanye West have released a whole lot more Yeezys (in terms of models and units) when compared to the early Yeezy years. From saturating the market with a plethora of new adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 colorways, to introducing new models such as the adidas Yeezy 500, 700 and even the upcoming 500 High, they’ve released a lot. To put it short, if anyone wanted to buy a pair of Yeezys they were able to do so as long as they put a little bit of groundwork.
That said, not all Yeezys are created equal. Although adidas and Kanye West are now releasing certain Yeezys in larger quantities, they also continue to release exclusive and limited Yeezys that are still hard to get. Here’s a general rule of thumb when it comes to sneakers: limited quantities + exclusivity = instant hype and a high resale value. Human instinct is to what what you can’t have, or at least what very few people have. Most of us try to find ways to stand out from the crowd, to many this means rocking the most exclusive and limited sneakers out there.
Take for example the recently released adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 in colorways such as Cloud White, Citrin, Lundmark and Antlia just to name a few. What do all these releases have in common? They all released alongside their respective “Reflective” counterpart. For those who may now know, the “Reflective” iteration of each of the aforementioned colorways listed above look almost identical to the non-reflective.
The major difference are the reflective hits noted throughout the Primeknit upper. That’s it. Oh yeah, there’s also one more major difference between the two.. The reflective pair is far more exclusive and limited than the non-reflective pair. So although both pairs retail for the same price, the resale value is between the two is like night and day. Put it this way: you can find certain non-reflective colorways of the adidas Yeezy Boost 350 V2 for close to retail in the aftermarket, you can’t do that when it comes to the reflective pairs.
For instances like these, this is where it appears as if more and more kids are now using bots to get these hard-to-get releases. Total knee replacement is a surgical substitution of the diseased knee joint with the artificial one (i.e. implant or endoprosthesis). Results of the multicenter studies have shown that up to 85% of patients are satisfied with the improvement of their life quality after the procedure. Novel equipment in the specialized orthopedic hospitals allows carrying out the knee replacement surgery with minimally invasive techniques. Thus, after undergoing orthopedic rehabilitation a patient can perform all usual activities without any restrictions.
When you should consider the total knee replacement
In Germany, total knee replacement is performed as the last-line therapy, as doctors give preference to medicamentous and physical therapy whenever it possible. Only when medications and conservative measures can not relieve pain, knee replacement is considered.
Total knee replacement in Germany is carried out in the following cases:
Osteoarthritis stage IV (or stage III with severe disability).
Severe traumatic damage of the knee.
Inborn joint deformities, including the complex ones (e.g. dysplasia in combination with arthritis).
Autoimmune knee lesions (e.g. rheumatoid arthritis).
Infectious knee lesions.
All these pathologies are united by clinical manifestations, i.e. pain syndrome, stiffness and difficulties while walking or bending the knee. The surgery is aimed at relieving the disturbing symptoms regardless of their root cause.
How you prepare for the arthroplasty
Although you will be able to walk on walker or crutches soon after the minimally invasive surgery, help with cooking, bathing, and shopping will be useful during first weeks. Make it sure that a relative or friend will provide you with all the necessary assistance.
During the rehabilitation period it will also be useful to make several modifications for facilitating daily activities, like:
Constructing the secure handrails along stairways or preparing the temporary living space on one floor in order to avoid walking up or down stairs.
Constructing the secure handrail in the shower.
Preparing the chair for bathing or shower bench.
Preparing the special chair with a firm cushion and back that is equipped with a footstool for leg elevation.
Removing all not fixed or slippery carpets.
In addition, you should inform surgeon about all medications you are taking currently. Such drugs as warfarin, clopidogrel, ibuprofen, and acetylsalicylic acid must be stopped several days before the intervention.
How the surgery is performed
Total knee replacement is carried out under the epidural or general anesthetic. A doctor moves aside the knee cap and nearby muscles via the few skin incisions. Sparing muscles is essential for the proper functioning of the implant. Reaching the damaged joint, doctor removes the affected parts of the shin and thigh bones. Joint surfaces of both bones are adjusted to the artificial joint implantation.
The endoprosthesis is fixed in the right position with the help of bone “cement”. A surgeon may also use the cementless method, when a bone grows naturally inside the prosthesis and fixes it. This option requires more time for the final healing.
Once the fixation is successfully completed, a doctor repairs muscles and skin with few stitches. A patient is moved to the recovery room. Once the surgical anesthesia is worn off, he is examined by an experienced physical therapist. In case no complications are revealed, patient may leave the healthcare institution the same day. After that a rehabilitation program starts. It may be performed in the specialized center or at home.

The Saints are doing it right now without their starting Quarterback and winning every game. They have been amazing as well. The San Francisco 49ers are undefeated for crying out loud! Think about this, Tom Brady and his understudy, Jimmy Garoppolo are the only 2 Quarterbacks right now that are currently quarterbacking undefeated teams. Jimmy Garoppolo with the 76ers and Tom Brady of course with the New England Patriots!

More than 100 million Americans rent their homes, according to City Lab. Renting was once just for individuals who didn’t have a down payment or couldn’t secure a mortgage, but a growing trend has emerged. Due to an increasing number of Americans choosing to become a ‘lifestyle renter’, locations up and down the U.S. have started building luxurious rent-only communities in order to meet demand.
Transforming the property market
Colorado, Arizona, and Texas have all risen to the challenge of building rent-only communities. NexMetro Communities says they have built 2,800 rental properties in communities across all three of these areas so far, and work continues. In Austin, three active rental communities designed especially for the older population have recently appeared. However, the biggest trend among rent-only communities at present is family homes. Research shows that families are after houses rather than apartments, and want their homes to ooze luxury. As such, property developers in the area looking to expand their portfolio into the rent-only market can rest assured knowing that Austin home builders are capable of creating on-trend, opulent homes that will spark the interest of lifestyle renters. Features such as contemporary layouts and generous outdoor areas are advised in these community homes because they give renters the luxury lifestyle they want.
Luxury living
Luxury homes in the U.S. cost an average of $1.55 million, according to Redfin. But these communities are providing renters with luxury at a fraction of the cost. For example, Pradera, the 250 luxury unit that recently went up in San Antonio, has a pool, dog park and wash area, and community entertaining space. Whereas Colorado’s Commerce City’s development provides renters with a firepit, outdoor gas grill, shared pool, and shared hot tub. With these kinds of features on offer, it’s easy to see why these communities are growing in popularity.
A long-standing trend?
Research shows that over the past 60 years, house prices have surged by 112%. In comparison, wages have gone up by 50% during this period. As such, individuals are seeking out more affordable homes in a bid to cut costs. However, it remains to be seen whether this trend is one that younger generations will stick with. For years, homeownership has been the ultimate ‘American dream’, so there’s the possibility that these individuals are using rental communities as a stop-gap and to build equity before finally stepping foot on the property ladder.
Rental communities are the latest building trend to hit America. Multiple developers have seen the nation’s need for affordable family housing with added luxury and have stepped up to the plate to offer housing in close-knit communities that cater to the requirements of all.

Trainers
Practical, soft and reliable shoes. We could only be talking about trainers. Now, the feature of this shoe design in mainstream fashion is nothing new. In fact, it’s been happening for decades. But it’s fair to say that athleisure is taking casual sports footwear to the next level. Have you spotted the current trainer and feminine dress combo trend, for example? All you need to do is pair a traditionally pretty dress — displaying, say, a floral pattern or a taffeta fabric — and a pair of trainers, typically chunky in build. This juxtaposition of fancy and functional styles makes for huge visual appeal.

As long as you plan your outfits wisely, athleisure needn’t be a pricey trend. After all, you’re effectively just finding new ways to wear clothes that you already own.
