SUPPORT YOUR WORKOUT WITH IV THERAPY

The health and wellness industry has had many breakthrough innovations in the last couple of decades. A significant portion of these advancements belongs to the segment of dietary supplements and wellness products. Today, stores are flooded with many brands that sell a huge variety of products to help you with everything from routine skin health to extreme athletic performance. 

However, through studies conducted in recent years, some medical practitioners noticed that many of these oral intakes weren't as efficient as advertised. In conjunction with the theories about how nutrients through food aren't absorbed as effectively as we think, these observations paved the way for finding newer solutions such as nutritional IV therapy.

Intravenous infusion or IV is a familiar term that we normally associate with setups you generally find at hospitals to aid sick patients with essential nutrients. The same idea was enhanced and developed into a form where it could be administered as an answer to several day-to-day nutritional requirements of a generally healthy person. 

Special IVs were created for athletes to boost their overall performance by improving their energy levels, enhancing metabolic activities, and accelerating recovery from a strenuous workout. These generally consist of essential vitamins, minerals, and electrolytes mixed in a saline solution and have proven to be a life changer for busy athletes and regular gym-goers.

A Brief Look into What An Athlete's Body Needs

We're aware that intense training and related factors help athletes stay healthier than people who don't train as much. However, their bodies require high maintenance, which means they burn carbohydrates, fat and protein more rapidly. These nutritional requirements must be timely met to keep their energy and performance up to the necessary standards.   

While a regular office goer could find room for these errors without incurring much loss, athletes' bodies are the primary tool of their trade. 

For instance, let's assume that a previous week's change in diet causes magnesium deficiency. Magnesium supports muscle and nerve function by promoting protein synthesis and cardiovascular health. A temporary lack will affect an athlete much more than a regular person. They cannot afford anything to disrupt their routine and damage the main asset their survival depends on.

Achieving this may not be impossible, but sometimes it's not easy. To mitigate the effects of these problematic occurrences, people with special requirements must seek special solutions such as nutritional IV.

So, let's look at how to support your workout with IV therapy.

Choose The Right IV & Relax

As we mentioned earlier, some IV’s are specially prepared for athletes. These contain essential nutrients that support the following functions. They have to choose the right IV package and spend around 40-60 minutes of their time for guaranteed results. 

Here's how IV therapy helps.

  • Essential nutrients enhance metabolic function. 

  • Helps with the symptoms felt after intense workouts, such as soreness, muscle cramps and oxidative stress

  • Supports further digestion and nutrient absorption. 

  • Accelerates the recovery process during rest hours. 

  • And it restores your electrolyte level along with essential fluids and vitamins.

A word of advice - Once you are done with the IV session, you might need to adhere to certain guidelines provided by your medical practitioner.

Performance athletes need to maintain their energy and performance levels to survive and compete in their profession.   

Achieving this is not difficult with proper nutritional advice and dietary support. However, some external factors such as busy schedules and work-related stress can cause them to skip or find themselves in difficult situations where they compromise their strict routines. 

IV treatments comprehensively provide essential nutrients an athlete needs and guarantee around 90-100% absorption of the nutrients instead of significantly lesser percentages achieved by oral alternatives.
