It’s that time of year again where fashion descends on various cities for fashion shows, presentations, pop-ups and more. As we looked ahead to SS27 trends and designs, it was another great season. We started off with New York Men’s Day to look at items that should be in our closets.
NYFW SS27 NYMD SESSION 1
Each season, New York Mens Day shares a number of designers that we should keep our eye on. This season, the first session had Avon Anglers, Ouila, Clara Son, and Alienant presenting their upcoming collection via standing presentations and rotating runway shows at Mercedes Benz Manhattan.
Of the 4 shows that presented their collections, we enjoyed seeing Clara Son which we have seen a number of seasons. We also enjoyed Alienant who was on Project Runway S21 with it’s Founder and designer, Yuchen Han. The collection had a number of streetwear looks. In attendance at his show was Project Runway S21 winner Veejay Floresca as well as S22 contestant, Bi Pham.
NYFW SS27 MANKIND ON STAGE
We left that show to make our way to Jack Studios to see Mankind on Stage Presentation. This collection included an array of looks for men and women that were in white and black. Pieces included items that could be worn as evening wear as well as bridal looks. In addition, there were elevated looks for brunch and other special occassions.
NYFW SS27 RYNSHU
A few SS seasons ago, we had the pleasure of attending Rynshu’s fashion show. At this year’s show, we found ourselves at Virgin Hotels NYC in NoMad at their beach club where men’s and women’s streetwear was shown by a number of models including noted entertainer, Billy Porter (Kinky Boots, Pose, American Horror Story: Apocalypse).

NYFW SS27 MODEST NOW THE SHOWS
As we continued through NYFW, we made our way to Rockefeller Center’s Radio Park to see Modest Now The Shows runway show while we enjoyed a pleasantly warm day. A number of the looks showcased elegant modesty fashion all in white from dresses outerwear and more.
NYFW SS27 CUSTO BARCELONA
Custo Barcelona is known for vibrant designs that have you vacation ready. So we were excited to go to Radio Park to see their SS27 collection which had vibrant garments that make you think of epic getaways by the beach and enjoying disco parties into the night! Cut outs, retro styles, and a bit of glam was on display during this show with NYC as its background.
NYFW SS27 Frederick Anderson
AS NYFW drew to a close, it was time to see the SS27 Frederick Anderson show at Nebula whose theme was My Garden Party. The runway show opened with a perfomance by Grammy Award and 3X Juno Award winner, Allison Russell. She also closed the show as well.
The show had models carrying stunning florals and wore looks of white, neutrals, lilacs, and more. Whether it was pantsuits, dresses, or separates the collection took you an array of parties, midday galas, and more.

NYFW SS27 Valerian Hughes
Our final show of this year’s SS27 collection was at an art gallery space in Chelsea to see Valerian Hughes. The collection included dresses, suiting, and more for men and women that had a bit of island vibes woven throughout. The tailoring, accessories, and vibe of this show was a great way to end this season.
