S3. E3. | ATHLEISURE KITCHEN WITH RESTAURATEUR, HOST OF NAT GEO'S RESTAURANTS AT THE END OF THE WORLD, CHEF KRISTEN KISH

On today's episode of Athleisure Kitchen, over the past few months, we have caught up with Chef Kristen Kish to talk about TRU TV's Fast Foodies as well as her partnership with Jongga Kimchi. We love how she enjoys exploring food and the stories that it tells for those that also have taken care to share their experiences through it.

This month, she hosts National Geographic's Restaurants At the End of the World that takes her to exotic locales and showcases how people bring their visions to life, creating meals that pull from items that are local to their area and learning about how she can apply these lessons to her personal life; how she navigates her kitchen; and how she approaches food.

We talk about the 4 episodes that will drop each week on Nat Geo as well as streaming on Disney+. She tells us about how the show came together, the process of selecting those that are featured and her feedback on dishes that were created during the episodes.

S2. E13. | ATHLEISURE KITCHEN WITH CHEF JORDAN ANDINO

On today's episode of Athleisure Kitchen, we always love catching up with Restaurateur Chef Jordan Andino of Flip Sigi here in NYC! He has been the cover of Athleisure Mag's ISSUE #35 which we shot at his West Village location back in 2018 and recently, he has appeared in other features as well. In addition to bringing Filipino flavors and a great personality that you can see on a number of his shows, he is always working on his latest project that is bound to be exciting!

We caught up with him ahead of his newest show he's hosting on Netflix, Cook at All Costs which dropped Dec 16th. We also talked with him about his partnership with Allstate! The rise of mocktails has increased for those that don't drink alcohol or are the designated driver. He shares a recipe with us that we can share with guests whether they are a designated driver or simply want to enjoy a cocktail that doesn't have alcohol in it. We also talk about his latest restaurant, Carriage House.

INTRODUCING ATHLEISURE KITCHEN

AK IG FLY 1.jpg

Whether we’re eating solo, grabbing a meal at lunch or Happy Hour, having a date night or heading to brunch at our favorite spot - farm to table, fast casual, gastro pubs and fine dining places didn’t just pop up on their own. Sometimes we’re cooking from recipes that we inherited from our families, often we’re making and enjoying a dish as recommended by voices of the culinary world. The world of food is nuanced and those that add to its colorful language have a story that directed them to creating their culinary point of view and styles of cooking, their presentation, and how they have strived to envelop and expand their professional brand. In Athleisure Kitchen, we sit down with chefs, restaurateurs, general managers, and food personalities to share how your favorite sweet and savory meals came to your neighborhood and these tastemakers impact and extend their reach in and beyond the food world.
