This idea became a reality when she reached out to her founding team members which ncludes Julia Sutton (COO). To fuse her vision of fitness and spa together, she looked no further then two of her teachers who worked at Lotte Berk Method Studio on the UES. Frank Devito (EVP, Mind Body Classes and Training) lends his expertise to the fitness portion of the experience. Elisabeth Halfpapp (EVP, Mindbody Programming) supports the spa portion of the program.

Late last summer, we attended an intimate roundtable that included a number of individuals within the travel industry on the topic of Cuba. At that time, we all discussed the ability to travel to Cuba without the restrictions that have existed for the past few decades. There was so much excitement and buzz in the room and we remember thinking about all the possibilities that would emerge by having this access as a traveler, for commerce and more.

Last month, as our President, delegates and businessmen entered the country, the reality of the having an open exchange became an even bigger possibility.

Since the President's visit, we're pleased to share two stories in this month's issue that focuses on Cuba. Above the Handlebars, Cuba - highlights the journey that Ben and Brian, of Sole Bicycles, took days before President Obama's entry into the country as they experience Cuba from 12 - 15 hour rides on each day of their trip. They rode through the pulse and culture of this country that has been self-contained.

Next, we are pleased to share Havana Motor Club, a movie that debuted at last year's Tribeca Film Festival and is available nationwide in theaters. The film looks at racing and how a dedicated group of local enthusiasts worked to bring this national sport back after it had been banned in the 50's.

Sole Bicycles was founded by a group of friends who loved playing an array of sports. They believed in creating a great bike that had an accessible price point and was supported by a company whose brand was built on an active lifestyle. In addition to creating a great product that served a needed function, it was essential to reflect a culture around it.

This created a school of thought where people could purchase a bike and visit the website. This serves as a hub of content and community, which is not only about being active but giving back. They have built their following by organic growth, bootstrapped and no outside help! Yet in the midst of building this brand over the past few years, they truly

believe in a "work hard, play hard" system. Those who work within the company have enjoyed participating in group retreats that serve as inspiration for new models and styles. This could include spending a month in Bali or a week in Mexico.

This wanderlust mindset mixed in with the need to give back creates a backdrop of organic serendipity which would bring members of Sole Bicycles team to an iconic visit to Cuba.

A friend that SB works with had been quite successful creating international bike tours which allow riders to enjoy destinations by peddling through them. Due to the success

of these groups, he wanted to do the same monthly in Cuba and needed a fleet of bikes that could host 10 people. He asked SB to supply the bikes.

In addition to providing their bikes, the team at SB decided that it would be a great idea for them to come along (a team of 9) to experience it for themselves.

SB is based in Venice, CA and the team flew from there to Miami to connect to their flight to land into Havana which is 45 miles from Miami. To arrive into the city, they checked in 2 hours prior to the flight and flew into Havana and upon arrival, it took them 3 hours to get through customs in order to finally reach their destination. Interestingly enough, for the total travel time to get to Havana, they could have flown into Tokyo or a number of other destinations.

This trip was not only about seeing Cuba, but to experience it first hand. The SB team decided that they would find a place to stay via Casa Particular (like Air BNB) with a Cuban family. This way they could enjoy traditional meals and have an experience that was akin to those who were locals.

During their trip, they had a schedule that was intense; however, gave the best chance to cover the area as they immersed themselves into the trip. The team woke up at 9:30am to enjoy a traditional breakfast cooked by their host family and hopped on their bikes to move from neighborhood to neighborhood where they rode 30 - 40 miles a day. They would have dinner later in the evening, and then at 8-9pm they would get back to the tour and finish their day at 3-4am - to do it all again the next day.

These 12-15 tours on wheels allowed them to see people going about their day and the shifts from one community to the next. Ultimately, they covered a total of 100 miles and most of Havana. For some, touring the city by bike was a first; however, everyone experienced a significant difference in this city.

The SB team found that they were able to focus on their experiences even more due to the lack of being connected to the internet and the phone. Less than 3% have the internet and those who may be visiting would need to go to a WiFi park for outside access or to purchase a card/phone. It was the longest that many have been disconnected. But at the same time, it allowed them to bond even more to one another as well as their guide without the distraction of making sure to update friends, followers, fans and more in real time.

As a country that has been self contained, it has been untouched by a number of popular and consumer culture aesthetics from style of dress, cars etc that point to the 50's. As the team was out and about, they felt safe as the crime rates are low and carrying guns are illegal.

In general, as they rode through the community, they realized that it was busy, but not too  crowded. From an economic standpoint, many are employed by the government sector and additional jobs are trade oriented Currently, there are a not a lot of private businesses.

As a matter of fact, as the team biked throughout the city, they were surprised that it was difficult to obtain a bottle of water from corner stores, carts - something that is readily available here in a number of cities whether you live in large cities or go to small towns. The ability to stop and get something when you wanted it really made the guys realize the cultural difference between where they were and how they grew up.

This trip took place as they traveled under a "People for People" status with missionary purposes for a church group. At the conclusion of the trip, they gave their bikes to a church which would allow their missionaries to pick flowers to sell to raise funds.

During this trip, as they rode through Cuba, they had the benefit of seeing the government getting ready for Obama's visit as workers paved miles of streets in Old Town Ha

vana, painting fences and fixing other elements in a mad dash as this was a few days prior to the official visit.

In the beginning, members of the group looked at this trip as one that would be a fun vacation that would include partying, taking pictures and more. But the impact of seeing one of the few nations that have not had open access for 60-70 years was eye opening! One noted that everywhere they went, people loved seeing their bikes that were new (as opposed to the Schwin models they noticed from the 50's). At one point in the trip, they happened to go to a cigar factory which sold Cohebas. They traded one of their bikes for a box of the luxury cigars (yet the value of the box of cigars was much higher than the bike). The universal need of having something modern and new was not lost on the team. They experienced this upgraded area as well as a number of authentic places that residents have enjoyed.

Cuba is going through a change and it is not one that will be overnight. A lot of questions remain: What do open policies mean for those that are Cuban residents? How will corporations begin to be introduced into the ecosystem (a number of properties such as Starwood Hotels has begun to create a strategy for expansion in the area)? How will Cuba balance between maintaining their heritage while integrating into a modern culture? More importantly for those who live in Cuba, what opportunities will they have to start their own businesses?

The idea that there is a "magic switch" where overnight there is an idealized setting where people will people will be able to come to Cuba, enjoy a daquiri as they sit in an outdoor cafe Instagramming their current status, is one that will take time with a lot of growing pains as they get to where they want to be as a nation, but the world will be watching.

Ellie Goulding x MACBAR

April 17, 2016

Ellie Goulding is prepping for her Delirium World Tour and like anything, it's not just about preparing for the next performance but also ensuring that you go into it with the proper balance. We chatted with Ellie about her new partnership and collaboration with MacroBars.

“MacroBars have been my go-to snack after a workout and when I’m on tour. For the new bar, I wanted something that was sweet and a good-source of plant-based protein,” commented Goulding. “I am honored to help create a new product with a company that shares my values of healthy living and giving back.”

When she is on tour, they are her go to snack as it's something that she also enjoys when she is working out. “I love the taste and how they keep me satisfied for hours,” explains Goulding. “I am excited to begin my partnership with a brand that shares my values of healthy living and giving back.”

This collaboration was one that was very natural to the entertainer as she was drawn to the brand for it organic, plant-based ingredients that were delicious too. Goulding  continues she is, "a fan of GoMacro's products, but the company shares [her] values of living a balanced life, promoting sustainability, and giving back to the community; the partnership just made sense! "

When she created her own bar she kept her sweet tooth in mind as well as having a high protein snack. "The Coconut + Almond Butter + Chocolate Chips combines three of my favorite ingredients and is packed with energy and protein to get me through the day."

You can win a high intensity workout session with Ellie Goulding by visiting GoMacro and entering your code. In addition, there is an opportunity to win a chance to meet her in concert as well as backstage passes. Check out additional snacks within the GoMacro line as well.

We shot our cover editorial at Hanley New York, a Crescent Heights property within their Fitness Center, Resident Lounge and residence. We interviewed the property to find out more about the building.

ATHLEISURE MAG: What amenities are offered to residents at Hanley New York?

CRESCENT HEIGHTS: At Hanley, residents have access to a great selection of amenities, including the Fitness Center, designed by Jay Wright of The Wright Fit, and our meticulously designed, urban treehouse inspired Resident Lounge. A doorman building, Hanley residents also have access to a 24-hour concierge, porter, live-in super and in-residence package delivery service. Through Hanley’s resident app residents have access to multiple discounts on dry cleaning, laundry service, housekeeping, dog walking, furniture rental services, etc.  Hanley also has a parking garage, laundry facility and bike and resident storage.

AM: We shot a portion of our shoot in your Fitness Center and Resident Lounge. Who created/designed these luxury spaces?

CH: Jay Wright, fitness extraordinaire and founder and CEO of The Wright Fit, designed the fitness center at Hanley. Overlooking the courtyard, the space offers an innovative approach to health and wellness. The Fitness Center not only encompasses floor space for residents to work out with their personal trainer, but is equipped with state-of-the-art exercise equipment, including Cybex Arc Trainers, and Woodway treadmills by 4Front. The Resident Lounge was designed by Lily Z Design, an interior décor firm based in New York City whose work has been featured in publications including Elle Décor and Time Out NY. The Lounge was inspired by an urban tree house, and features reclaimed wood panels, greenery and contemporary furnishings. Once combined, the space is the perfect place for Hanley residents to relax. The study area of the Lounge includes a built-in desk, meeting table, and wall-mounted white boards, with WiFi, while the children’s play space caters to creative minds with a chalkboard wall and imaginative soft seating that resembles large boulders.

AM: Are there sustainable features in the property?

CH: Windows are currently being replaced which will reduce noise pollution in residences and protect against drafts for more effective interior climate control. Hanley New York is also part of a steam condensation recycling program.

AM: Is the Hanley currently being renovated and when will it be completed?

CH: Hanley has been recently updated for an effortlessly elevated 21st century lifestyle. This includes lobby, amenity spaces, and the courtyard adjacent to the lobby. The courtyard was designed by award-winning landscape architecture firm Reed-Hilderbrand, the space will allow residents to enjoy a quiet, outdoor oasis in the heart of the city.

AM: For those moving to this building, what are key points of interest that will make residents enjoy living in the neighborhood?

CH: Hanley’s elegant Upper East Side location is definitely one of the building’s best assets. Set on the corner of 66th and 3rd, Hanley residents are footsteps from iconic New York destinations, such as Central Park, and the shops on Fifth Avenue. Stylish restaurants, internationally renowned cultural institutions and gourmet markets are also a stone’s throw away! Hanley is also within several blocks of the 4, 5, 6, N, Q, and R subway lines, and in walking distance from Midtown and the Plaza District.

AM: Are there bespoke services offered to residents in this building?

CH:  Another unique feature of Hanley is the building’s digital advantages. Residents have a Hanley specific app that allows them to pay
rent, reserve amenity spaces, view the Hanley resident event calendar, track packages, and  submit work orders and communicate with management. The Hanley app also allows residents access to exclusive perks, and  resident discounts.

BOOK COVER COURTESY | Simon Schuster

Escaping My Shape

March 18, 2016

I always felt that when people chose their workouts it was based on their needs as well as a way to tap into their energy. My vivid memories of exercise include watching my mom work out to Denise Austin, Glad and a number of the 80’s stars. Aerobics, the step and squats were a part of my routine from high school through college as I loved the movement and that feeling – who doesn’t love a retro Jane Fonda moment? Towards the end of college, I met the Elliptical and I was hooked. As I transitioned to NYC as long as there was an elliptical – that’s the only gym equipment you would see me on for 45 mins to an hour. At home, I would do routines that focused on squats (loved them) and crunchies. For the last few years when it came to various workouts, I sampled the trends and methods like I would a flight of wines and beer. It didn’t bother me that I wasn’t committed to them – as long as I kept moving.

As a woman who has always been comfortable within my own skin, like many I have always had areas that I would love to tweak; however, I felt that there were things that were clearly off the table due to genetics. As the Co-Founder/Style Director of Athleisure Mag, I love how we showcase fashion, style, fitness, beauty and more within the athleisure lifestyle. Whether I’m visiting designers, on set for shoots for this publication or others or going on air – I always end up being in conversations about health, mindfulness and balance. It’s always interesting to see what’s out there and to try it out. At the beginning of this year, I decided that I would focus on certain areas in terms of my fitness. I was about 2 weeks in when I was connected with Exude Fitness and its CEO, Edward Jackowski, Ph.D., one of the country’s leading motivational fitness experts and best-selling author of Escape Your Shape (Simon and Schuster). A number of celebrities have graduated from Exude Fitness including Brooke Shields, Tina Fey
and more.

Prior to my first session, I was sent his book, Escape Your Shape, which breaks down our bodies into four shapes Hourglass®, Spoon®, Ruler® or
Cone®. With that said, these types have workouts that are geared towards each shape (as well as itemized no-no’s for each body type). Not surprisingly, I knew that I was an Hourglass. I also learned through the book that my sampling of various workouts wasn’t about being aware of
what was out there, but my way of saying that the methods weren’t helping me in my goals. Therefore, I would try it out for a bit and then move on. Frustration would set in and I would simply go back to the elliptical and squats - as I felt that that was benefiting me (although now I know this doesn’t work for me in terms of the goal of a leaner lower body).

When I arrived at Exude Fitness at Bliss Spa, I had already filled out a form that looked at my medical history, my goals etc., and I kept in mind the Hourglass focus. I had circled one of my goals that simply stated toning in all areas. I thought it was a reasonable answer and who wouldn’t want to just have it all. The next 20 minutes of working with Edward showed me that without even reading my answers he accurately identified areas that I wanted to improve upon. He also dispelled myths that I believed to be true (ie., having larger thighs is hereditary so it’s not something that I can really do anything about). As we sat there, he charted what we were working towards from reducing inches to losing weight as well as to benchmarks. Hearing that in 6 weeks I would see one series of results and that by July (right before the holiday) – I would hit the goals, I was shocked.

Just in case I had any more concerns on whether this was possible, Edward had me do one thing that made me a believer. I hadn’t been able to touch my toes standing up in a very long time. I chalked it up to having poor flexibility as I got older. Within a few stretches on the same day upon meeting Edward, I was able to touch my toes (sometimes when I am working on a workout and am challenged, I stop and touch my toes to remember that something I didn’t think I could do – I can do without effort).

Although I was a little sore my first day as I had touched muscles that I hadn’t before, I was excited to get a workout program that was tailored to me for my body type. That night, I had a program that included minimal equipment (you can’t go wrong with 2 lb weights, a jump rope and a 4 lb bar). Within my routines, I have options for days that I do yoga or when I’m traveling and am unable to be on a stationary bike. Everything is thought out so that you can optimize your workout to reach your goals. In addition, he is only a phone call or an email away. Another key portion of Exude Fitness is the care that is taken to matching each person to a trainer. It’s not just about ensuring that you’re form is right or that you are increasing
your workout – it’s also about matching a personality that creates a relationship. Through the past 6+ weeks, working out with Fun Lee has been a treat as she knows how I have advanced within certain workouts that were previously a challenge, she knows when I can do a little more and keeps mixing it up – but she also makes me feel really comfortable in general. She also acknowledges my commitment to the process and that I am genuinely blown away by the results.

When it comes to results, I have to say that I saw toned areas throughout my legs pretty quickly and well before my 6 week target, I was pleased with the transformation that happened and of course with working out within what works for my body, it’s easier for me to push forward even through portions that are still a little tough. As Edward says, the “results and motivation are directly linked to each other - and the more results you see, the more incentive you have for continuing to exercise.” At the end of the day health, fitness and aesthetics are the core benefits to exercising and when these are met through picking, “the right exercises and activities that are based on your body type” – going back to sampling an array of
workouts is not even an option. For the past 25 years, Exude Fitness has studied and analyzed the aesthetic effects of exercise and holds the
world’s only medically-proven and patented exercise program based on body types - as he is the pioneer and innovator of this method. I’m pleased to share that I will check in with you on my results and findings with my training with Exude Fitness and even outside of the magazine, you will be able to see more about what they are doing throughout the website. As Spring makes everyone think about their fitness levels again (just in case some of you made those resolutions at the beginning of the year), I want to share with you Exude Fitness and its body types, as well as some key notes about each.

KNOW YOUR BODY TO GET TONED
No matter whether you’re an Hourglass®, Spoon®, Ruler® or Cone® (although these body types are genetically predetermined) it’s understanding your type that will allow you to work out your problem areas and to adjust your workout plan. In terms of diet, I can only speak to my plan, I really have not been restricted from any food; however, it is about when I am eating it. I have always been one that doesn’t eat breakfast, has a light lunch (depending on what’s going on it’s a salad) and then a larger meal for dinner. A nugget of truth came when Edward said that my larger meal should be lunch as that is when I need more energy and my lighter meal should be a salad. When you think about it, it makes sense and as we’re moving
into the summer, having this simple, yet effective advice will definitely be welcome. As someone who loves potatoes, learning that I don’t have to break up with it but can simply enjoy them during lunch with one cheat evening with them are just some of the examples of why this method works with your lifestyle.

To properly identify your shape, it’s simply a matter of seeing where your weight (which includes muscle and fat) is distributed on your frame. Once you know your shape, you’re able to make the proper adjustments. Most women are Hourglass and Rulers, while most men are Cones and Rulers; moreover, your height or weight doesn’t determine which body type you are. It’s also worth noting that if you are vastly overweight, you may have a hard time seeing what your true body type may be. It’s best to follow the Hourglass workout until you begin to reduce your weight to see where you are. At that point, you can assess your type and begin targeting the exact workout for your true body type.

HOURGLASS

* Carries weight in both the upper and lower body; however, slender at the waist
* Significant difference between the circumference of your chest and waist (or between hips and waist)
* Your body reflects a balanced and curvaceous appearance when looked at in the mirror.

It’s worth noting that those that are this type tend to look lighter than their actual weight and tend to gain most of their mass in the thighs and backs of arms.

BEST EXERCISES

* Jump Rope (this has become my new friend)
* Stationary biking with light to moderate resistance (when I am not accessible to a bike, I walk in non-inclined areas)
* Upper body exercises with light weights and high repetitions

EXERCISES TO AVOID

* Step classes (I gave a sigh on this one)
* Spinning
* Kick-boxing (another sigh)
* Elliptical (this took a moment for me to mark this passing)

THE DETAILS

As an Hourglass, my purpose is high reps (at least 25 – 50 repetitions for each exercise), low resistance and low weights for both upper and lower bodies. As my body slims down and lose weight and mass, I can then increase resistance and weight. Regardless, I have to continue high reps for each exercise.

THE GOAL: Trim upper and lower body.

RULER

* You’re straight up and down with very few curves due to equal body proportions
* Little difference in the circumference of your chest, waist and hips
* You gain weight around your midsection

It’s worth noting that those with this body type do not bulk easily, have less hamstring flexibility then Hourglasses and Spoons and have a tendency to lower back pain.

BEST EXERCISES

* Yoga, stretch/calisthenics classes, Pilates on machines
* Full sit-ups without locking feet, upper and lower abdominal crunches and leg outs
* Jogging with incline, step classes, spinning, lunges and squats

THE DETAILS

Those who are within this shape don’t have to avoid any exercises! If you are overweight and are looking to lose, then you need to use a moderate
resistance/weights until your reach your ideal weight!

THE GOAL: Focus on trimming your stomach/ mid-section which will make you a little curvy.

SPOON

* Your lower body is considerably larger than the upper body
* You carry most of your weight in your hips, thighs and buttocks
* You gain weight from the hips down
* When you look in the mirror, your eyes go directly to your lower body Spoons tend to have a weaker upper body and thicker thighs, knees, calves and ankles.

BEST EXERCISES

* Jumping rope with a speed rope
* Push-ups

* Standing knee to opposite chest

EXERCISES TO AVOID

* Squats, lunges and ankle weights
* All stair climbers/steppers, Elliptical and cross trainers
* Spinning

THE DETAILS

For a Spoon, it’s all about high reps and low resistance for all lower-body exercises and moderate to high resistance for all upper body exercises. For those that are overweight, the resistance should not be too high for the upper body either.

THE GOAL: A trimmer and more streamlined lower body and to have a stronger upper body so that you have a proportionate look.

CONE

* You carry most of your weight in your back, chest, arms and stomach
* You’re more slender from the hips down

* The upper body is considerably larger than the lower body

Cones tend to have weak abdominal muscles and they experience some back pain.

BEST EXERCISES

* All lower body exercises that have moderate to heavy weights and/or resistance
* Walking or jogging on incline
* Upper body exercises with lightweight and high reps

EXERCISES TO AVOID

* All upper body exercises with moderate to high weights/resistance
* Kick-boxing moves for the upper body
* All exercise classes with hand weights or weighted bars heavier than 2 lbs.

THE DETAILS

Although Cones tend to avoid abdominal and lower body exercises, they are essential to do to become proportioned. The focus here is high reps and low resistance or weighs for the upper body with high resistance and moderate to heavy weights for the lower body. In addition, Cones that are male tend to struggle with giving up heavy weight lifting for their upper bodies. They need to switch to push-ups, dips, chin-ups or upper body routines that use lower weight and higher repetitions.

THE GOAL: Getting a trimmer, less bulky upper body and strengthen the lower body to achieve better symmetry.

Over the next few months, I will check in with you on my progress as well as share additional items that are going on with Exude Fitness.

HARD ROCK HOTEL RIVIERA MAYA MEXICO

March 3, 2016

As someone who is constantly on the go, you know that it is essential to check in with yourself in the way that suits you best. Earlier this year, our co-founders were invited to the Hard Rock Hotel, Riviera Maya in Mexico. The primary purpose was to enjoy and share the Rock Spa which includes a phenomenal treatment that combines a deep tissue massage, music, and vibrations on the massage table. While there, they were also treated to staying on the adult side of the property know as Heaven as well as enjoying a phenomenal suite. At the time, our Style Director covered this trip for a Time Inc publication as well as another story that she ran in DJ Mag (as she is the Fashion Editor of the top EDM global publication).

It's being shared here today as we all love a #TBT and why not at a place that mixes the need to have a good time through music and partying, great food as well as proper relaxation. While on this trip, a number of pictures were shared through our Style Director's Instagram.

The Hard Rock Hotel is an all-inclusive resort that caters to families, singles, couples etc. It is highly suggested that those who have adults in their group should book to stay on the Heaven side as there are no children on this side, you have your own pools, restaurants, etc and if you would like to venture to the other portion of the property, you can do so! Upon arrival, the guide escorted them to golf cards for the Heaven check in (which was a nice way to see the property and to get a bit of a tour with our guide) - and at the check in area, they were able to see who would be performing while there, special events, book additional amenities that were not included in the all-inclusive package etc.

At this resort, all-inclusive means that you have your wet bar in your room with an assortment of non-alcoholic, beers, and well spirits in your room. In this case, both stayed in a suite known as the Deluxe Platinum Sky Terrace that has access to a balcony (which most rooms seemed to have) as well as an entire second floor terrace (perfect for couples, girlfriend getaway trips) above with a jacuzzi. In addition to being able to being able to have room to spread out, it was optimal for spectacular views outside, people watching and complete disconnection.  This also includes meals at the restaurants (as many times as you want whether you have breakfast, lunch, dinner and have snacks by the pool - or decide after dancing that you have t to hit the buffet). It's always a good idea to check about making reservations as many times you do have to let them know in advance for places that may have greater traffic flows and of course, you can go to the bars and pretty much select whatever you wish to drink without additional charges (unless it is a premium beverage).

Throughout your stay, there are activities during the day and at night that are apart of your package while also having others that you may have to pay an additional amount for in terms of renting gear for certain water activities. Of course, one of the biggest reasons to go to this property is just to veg. One of the things that sticks out is the fact that a number of the places by the pool had chairs that were also in the water which makes for a very peaceful time - easy access to the water, the ability to be that much closer to the swim up bar and more! At this resort, having music constantly pumped into the rocks, paths and more is truly an immersive experience and it always allows you to feel like you're in a state of zen. If you're not looking to be so close to people, there are a number of cabana areas that are tucked away where you can still have the experience without feeling like you're in a large group while only being an eye glance away from one of the attendants who can ensure that you will still have your beverage or lunch!

This trip's focus was about experiencing the very anticipated Rhythm and Motion Synchronicity at the Rock Spa which is a 50 or 80 minute treatment. When entering the zen f this portion of the facility, you are taken into an ornate lounge where you can enjoy the hydrotherapy pools before any of your selected treatments. These 3 pools are meant to bring your body from its current temperature, to a very cold one, to a hot one and then one that is moderate. The attendant walks you through the experience and upon completing these areas you can rest until you are brought into your room or enjoy infused waters and light bites. It's such a contrast the pulse and constant motion of the property outside of the walls. Here you're able to turn inward in anticipation of the treatment.

Once called upon you are led into the room which has your massage table and a dome that is over your head. The treatment is a Swedish massage which really gets into your muscles. There is a soundtrack that is selected (depending on the theme of the property) that will pay during the session. What makes this so amazing is that as the masseuse works on your body, you are stimulated with the scent of the oils, the rhythmic nature of the massage that is set to the beats of the music as well as the table which enhances the beat through your body and the dome ensures that the music stays overhead. The volume, beats etc are perfectly placed that your mind goes on auto-pilot and you are transformed into a different state!

At the end, when you leave your room, you sit at a table to enjoy a specially made beverage which ties in the experience that just took place. Guests of the treatments can go back into the area to enjoy the pools, lounge area etc. Upon leaving - you can literally float back on your walk through the property to your room, the pool etc. The ability to have the mind, body and soul come together in such a perfect way is a feeling that will leave those (whether you're a veteran of massages or a newbie) ready to book this again!

When staying at Hard Rock Hotel, there is a major draw for those that are a fan of music and of course, when you're in the common areas, your room etc there are elements of memorabilia, musical aesthetic and so much more. It's highly encouraged to take some time while waiting for dinner, coming back from one activity to the next to see what is curated from jewelry by Hendrix, Blondie's outfits and so much more!

There are a number of destinations in Hard Rock Hotel's portfolio and although they all focus on music, unwinding, spa treatments and more - each location has something that is unique that ties back into the area! Take some time to check out what city speaks to you and enjoy a vacation on your own terms.
