ATHLEISURE LIST | MINICIRCLE

November 12, 2025

Minicircle launched in 2019 with the goal of creating safe, accessible gene therapy treatments that could support human healthspan and mitigate suffering from preventable health conditions on a population level. Driven by my own personal experiences observing close friends and family with life-altering, incurable diseases, Minicircle’s primary goal is to improve quality of life for as many people as possible. The ultimate objective is to scale the treatments widely and make them increasingly easy to access in the years to come. We sat down with Mac Davis, CEO and Founder of Minicircle to find out more about them.

Minicircle has created a gene therapy platform that administers the treatment via non-invasive injection. This delivery method employs DNA plasmids, which are small, circular strands of DNA that are easy to inject subcutaneously and cheap to manufacture. These plasmids don’t directly integrate with or alter the recipient’s DNA, but rather add to existing DNA, making them transient, which is a strong differentiator compared to other gene therapy platforms.

Their current gene therapy offering revolves around a protein called follistatin, which has a number of different use cases. Follistatin is naturally occurring in the body and facilitates muscle growth by binding to myostatin, which inhibits muscle growth. Everyone who comes to Minicircle has a different goal in mind, from putting on muscle mass, to enhancing general longevity and healthspan, to mitigating frailty - but it generally boils down to improving quality of life and putting your body in the best position to combat age-related health conditions. Most Minicircle patients report an increase in lean mass, decrease in body fat percentage, lower epigenetic age, and overall improvement in general functioning and well-being. In particular, they’re excited about follistatin’s potential to support those with muscle-wasting conditions like muscular dystrophy, which could have a powerful impact on public health interventions for generations to come.

Thos interested in learning about Minicircle’s therapies and pricing can go to the website and fill out a form with their contact information. They will then be put in touch with one of their partner clinics, who will guide them through the process of getting necessary testing before traveling to the clinic to receive the therapy. The process itself is very quick. The injection takes just a few minutes, with a required 30 minute monitoring period after.

The life cycle of the therapy can vary depending on the individual’s biology and lifestyle habits, but the effects usually last up to a year - sometimes more, sometimes less. Most people who have received the therapy want to get it repeatedly to sustain the effects.

MINICIRCLE

Clinics are located in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico; Paradise Island, Bahamas; Roatan, Honduras; and Panama City, Panama.

ATHLEISURE LIST | KEBABISHQ

November 11, 2025

Kebabishq is the latest venture from Vamshi Adi (Executive Chef & Co-Owner) and Neel Mittal (Co-Owner) opened in August 2025 — they’re behind the Bib Gourmand–recognized restaurant Ishq in NYC.

Their vision involved bringinng a modern, fast-casual kebab concept rooted in deep South Asian (especially Hyderabadi) tradition to New York, with bold spices, live charcoal grilling, and accessible formats (rolls, bowls, loaded fries). The menu emphasizes 100% halal meats, vegetarian options, and house-made paneer.

Their Kebabs are marinated in proprietary spice blends and cooked over a live charbroiler to impart smoky, charred flavor.

Typical spices and aromatics you’ll find include: garam masala, cumin, coriander; ginger, garlic aioli; red chili/chili powder, green chili; turmeric, black pepper, mustard; yogurt or from Ishq, focusing on kebabs, grilled meats, and approachable formats.

The technique of marination + charcoal/open flame is central: the meats absorb the flavor deeply, then get “sealed” by the grill’s heat. Because it sits in the Indian kebab tradition, there is also likely influence from Mughlai, Hyderabadi, North Indian kebab substyles (seekh, tikka, etc.).

The menu is broken out with Kebabs/Grill which has core proteins (chicken, lamb, shrimp, paneer, and soya) in kebab form (skewers, cuts). There are Rolls/Wraps where kebabs or grilled meats wrapped in paratha/flatbreads with chutneys, sauces, salad. There is also a section focused on Bowls/Rice/Salad. There are Kebabs placed over pulao or rice, salad (greens), sometimes “loaded” versions (e.g. fries + toppings). They also have Sides & Small Plates which includes: Chutneys, breads (naan, paratha), crispy/fried items, salads, raita, etc. To complete the meal, there are Desserts & Refreshments. You can enjoy South Asian desserts (kulfi, falooda, etc.), lassi, chai, soft drinks, and other beverages. Finally, there are Custom/Add-ons which includes extra sauces, toppings, spice levels, extra protein, etc.

We suggest their Chicken Kebab Roll (or Paratha Roll with Chicken Kebab). It’s a marinated chicken, grilled, wrapped in soft paratha with chutneys and salad offers contrast in texture, spice, and freshness; Lamb Seekh Kebab Bowl/Over Pulao/Loaded Fries; and Paneer/Soya Kebab Option - a great vegetarian offer. If you prefer more exotic suggestion, we suggest their Shrimp Kebab.

For a side, we enjoyed their Bhel Puri – A classic Indian street food snack made with puffed rice, sev (crispy chickpea noodles), onions, tomatoes, herbs, and tangy tamarind chutney. Their Dahi Puri is a beloved chaat dish consisting of hollow, crispy puris filled with potatoes, chickpeas, chutneys, yogurt, and spices.

ATHLEISURE LIST | BIOGRAPH

October 19, 2025

We sat down with Dr. Michael Doney, Executive Medical Director of Biograph, the world’s most advanced preventive health and diagnostic clinic that is on a mission to drive meaningful advances in human healthspan and lifespan.

The flagship Biograph San Francisco Bay Area clinic opened to a small cohort of patients in 2020. The brand emerged from stealth this year, opening its second clinic location in New York City in early 2025.

This preventative health clinic was founded by John Hering and Dr. Peter Attia. It was founded after a cancer diagnosis of Hering’s best friend which sparked his deep belief that there should be an emphasis on preventative healthcare and with the proper application of advanced medical technology and early detection, more lives can be saved. With Dr. Attia and a team of experts aiming to address the gaps in traditional healthcare, the main goal was to create a clinic that focuses on prevention, precision, and performance rather than reactive care so you can live longer and better.

Their data driven approach provides a complete picture of your health across the 5 pillars most critical to long term health: cardiovascular, metabolic, neurodegenerative, cancer, and quality of life.

In a single day they deliver over 30 assessments and collect and collate 1,000+ data points. By curating the most advanced technologies, they provide a complete health picture.

Ultimately, a preventive health clinic is about partnership. It’s not just a single appointment but a continuous journey where they help you translate data into meaningful, actionable insights and create a personalized plan designed to maximize your healthspan and vitality.

Biograph offers up to 30+ advanced assessments, providing a comprehensive picture of your health through cutting-edge diagnostics. The specific assessments included depend on your membership tier. Core Membership includes essential diagnostics such as Whole-Body MRI, VO2 Max testing, Genetic Testing, and DEXA Body Composition Analysis. The Black Membership adds advanced screenings like CT Coronary Angiography, Multi-Cancer Early Detection Testing, and Multi-Modal Brain Health Assessments.”

They have private suites to serve as sanctuaries where members can disconnect from external pressures and immerse fully in their personalized health experience. Each suite is thoughtfully appointed to create a restorative, stress-free environment tailored to the needs of high-performing individuals who often arrive with very little downtime.

ATHLEISURE LIST | FANCY RANCH AMISH FRIED CHICKEN

September 17, 2025

This month, we make our way to DC to Fancy Ranch Amish Fried Chicken for this pop-up at Union Market that opened Jul 1st and initially, it was going to run through the end of Sep. But due to the feedback that they have received, they are now looking for a brick and mortar location!

This concept is a love letter to fried chicken and its story started with Chef Reid Shilling 5.5 years ago with their restaurant Shilling Canning Company in the Navy Yard which is very local farm focused. It’s a proven popular menu item that became a no-brainer to have within this concept.

The fact that in this concept they provide this chicken at a high value proposition, it was a no-brainer as it is truly delicious.

They offer on the bone fried chicken with their most popular item is The Lone Ranger - 1 3 piece Amish fried chicken, 2 piece corn waffle smothered in PA maple butter, 1 side (baked beans, mixed to order Coleslaw, or Aji verde potato salad), and 1 sauce for under $20 (pre tax) even for Chef Reid Shilling’s signature recipe that’s drizzled with their housemade hot honey, toasted Anson mills benne seeds, and chives.

Their Ranch Hands Family Meal is a 10 pc chicken, 8 pc corn waffle, two large sides and all the sauces for under $55 - which feeds 2-4 people. At brunch, you can get a fried egg in place of the side, but also have the Which Came First which is a 2 pc corn waffle with boneless crispy chicken breast, shaved ham, melted havarti, fried egg and then drizzled with PA maple syrup.

Their Aji Verde Potato Salad uses their Aji Verde dipping sauce as the base, so it has a kick to it. It has fresh clipped basil from the Shilling Canning Company Garden, and is blended with parsley, cilantro, and green onion, so the sauce is very herbaceous and that’s where it gets its green color from. They use Aji Amarillo which is unique in that the heat doesn’t present on your tongue but rather in the back of your throat and then an overall warming of the body that leaves you needing more. For the potato salad, they fold that into some sour cream and then add more lemon and more basil.

It’s worth noting thay they have a range of sauces from fancy ranch, honey mustard, Aji Verde, house-made hot honey, hot sauce, and a really rich PA maple syrup sourced from Patterson Farm up near New York. That’s the same syrup they make the maple butter from that already adorns the corn waffles.

On Sunday September 28, they are doing the Arcadia Farm Fall Harvest Dinner in Alexandria VA. The dinner benefits their Veteran Farmer Program.

ATHLEISURE LIST | LEO'S FAMOUS

September 16, 2025

Leo’s Famous opened shortly after the launch of Leonetta as this space is downstairs. They wanted to open this cocktail bar as they felt the area could use a place like this that is elevated and cool that they can enjoy a drink, have fun music, and great vibes! The ambiance of Leo’s is sophisticated, upscale, dark, and a well detailed sleek cocktail lounge. It has high ceilings that don’t make you feel like you’re in a basement. They have a fireplace in the space as well that brings that cozy element to the space in the colder months.

The menu at Leo’s is the same as Leonetta which is upstairs. They didn’t want to serve something that was completely different from what the menu upstais is. Their focus is to ensure that people become familiar with the food that is available upstairs with the vibe of what they created downstairs so that when they return, they will enjoy a meal upstairs.

We suggest that you enjoy their spreads and hummus that is served at the restaurant. You can’t go wrong with their Black Garlic Hummus, Beetroot Tzatziki, or even the Eggplant Baba Ghanoush.

We love a great cocktail that sets the tone and their drinks that have pineapple are highly recommended! We suggest the Pinga Colada which is one of the top drinks to enjoy. Porn Star in the afternoon is just as great and the Sun Also Rises is another that we have in mind.

Clearly, the vibes of this spot is on our list. Keep in min that Leo’s Famous is only open from Thurs - Sat night and many of us love the idea of being able to stop into our favorite areas at the end of the week!

As we continue to enjoy the end of the Summer and look ahead to the Fall, we should keep an eye out for fun events taking place for their programming which we can see on Leo’s Instagram!

ATHLEISURE LIST | DESIERTO AZUL

August 16, 2025

We sat down with Fabrizio Cavallo, founder of Desierto Azul located in Baja California Sur in Mexico. This resort focuses on the conscious traveler - someone who moves through the world with intention. They choose destinations, accommodations, and experiences that align with their values. It’s about curiosity and connection, but also about impact. They seek places that honor nature, support local communities, and encourage deeper presence. At Desierto Azul, they see their guests as people who aren’t just looking to escape, but to return to themselves, to the earth, and to a slower, more thoughtful rhythm of life.

There's something about Baja California Sur. It's raw and rugged, yet deeply serene, where the desert meets the sea making for a unique atmosphere. The Baja Vibe is unhurried, soulful, and grounded in simplicity. Todos Santos, embodies this energy: a creative enclave that blends surf culture with a rich artistic spirit and a strong sense of community. It’s a place where the beaches are still untouched, dirt roads give way to beautiful boutique hotels, and giant cacti rule the desert.

Desierto Azul is rooted in a 360° approach to conscious living, one that nurtures the body, respects the earth, and creates space for inner quiet. Every element here, from our toxin-free design to our plant-based culinary experiences, invites a gentle reset.

The founders merge acrchitecture, natural materials, and healing through food for their guests to enjoy in an effort of conscious, sustainable living. This petite hotel is designed with care, authenticity, and reverence for nature.

This hotel has 4 rooms which allows for an intimate experience. They are desugned with natural materials, organic textures, and calming tones that mirror the Baja landscape. All rooms have private terraces that include hammocks, desert and pool views, organic cotton bedding, pour-over coffee sets, and organic snacks in the mini fridge.

There is an onsite gluten free and dairy free bakery called PanVero that features a variety of baked goods such as muffins, cookies, and focaccia, all made using whole flours like chickpea, almond, oat, brown rice, and sorghum as well as elixirs, smoothies, and fresh juices, ensuring your wellness experience starts from what you put into your body.

Their open-air Plant-Based Cooking Studio, is the heart of our nourishment philosophy. It offers an immersive, hands-on workshops centered around whole, nutrient-dense foods. It's not just about learning recipes it's about reconnecting with the way we feed ourselves. You'll come away with a new understanding of plant-based living, rooted in flavor, intention, and joy.

ATHLEISURE LIST | FORZA PILATES

August 15, 2025

In the Winter of 2023, Sydney Dumler launched Forza Pilates as a high-end space where design, wellness, fashion, and community can coexist beautifully. With her background of being a group fitness instructor for 9 years as well as working with a number of wellness and fashion brands, she wanted a fitness space that was elevated, warm, and welcoming.

The studio features soft wood floors, ornate brass mirrors, and fresh branches from the local flower shop—every detail feels artfully curated. When you walk in, you’re greeted by their custom candle scent and clean linens, a personalized Reformer setup, and a sense that someone has anticipated your comfort even before you arrive.

Reformer Pilates strengthens the body in a way that’s smart and sustainable. It builds core stability, improves posture, and supports mobility—all while being gentle on the joints. Beyond the physical benefits, it trains your mind to move with intention, which translates into every part of your life.

If you are new to this method, it's worth noting that it is a full-body experience. It's about precision over pace - pilates is not about going fast, it's moving with control. Your exercise can be modified or advanced whether it's adjusting spring tension, grounding a hand or knee for support, or limiting your range of motion to protect from a previous injury.

There are 4 classes offered at their dio. Their signature Forte class offers a contemporary, intermediate-level flow designed for clients who love creative sequencing and fresh challenges. Foundations leans into classical principles, focusing on precision and control—proof that slowing down can be just as (if not more) demanding. Aria brings the energy with a cardio-infused workout set to an upbeat playlist, making it the perfect excuse to move, sweat, and have fun. Finally, Recovery is their foam rolling and mobility session—the ultimate “hurts so good” release your body craves after a week of classes.

There are a number of amenities that include a warm and attentive staff, a curated retail selection, and in the bathrooms they have Aesop and Oak Essentials. In many ways, the atmosphere of the space feels more like a boutique hotel versus a traditional gym.

For Soho House members in Nashville, they can enjoy Forza Atelier there. They offer the Forza Method in an intimate setting. With just 6 Reformers, clients enjoy a highly personalized experience—where it’s not unusual to move alongside Nashville’s creative talent, including some of the artists on your own playlist. The Atelier also features a curated retail space, their creative extension that brings the Forza lifestyle beyond the studio.

ATHLEISURE LIST | WONDERLAND BAR

July 18, 2025

We're always looking for a great night out and Wonderland Bar is on our list as it is inspired by the idea of escaping into a whimsical, fairy-tale world. It's a dreamy, enchanting space that feels like a hidden oasis in the city. It's perfect for a date night, celebrations, or just hanging out with friends!

When it comes to going out to a lounge that has great bites and cocktails, it's about the ambiance and with lush greenery, playful lighting, and beautifully curated cocktails - you'll find it to be vibrant! Whether you're looking for something romantic, magical, or just fun and social!

The menu is a playful fusion of Asian-inspired small plates and elevated bar snacks which are designed to complement their cocktails and they are meant to be shareable.

For your next night out, we suggest that you pick items from both their Hot and Cold portion of the menu. For Cold, we suggest the House Chinese Pickled Cucumber, Hi There Sesame Cold Noodle, and Oyster with refreshing yuzu sauce. For Hot, we suggest their Sichuan Beef Stew Noodle Soup, House Fried Chicken Burger, and Shrimp & Crab Toast with French Baguette.

Savory dishes are a great way for us to continue enjoying a well deserved night out. They're even better when they are paired with a well crafted cocktail that you can not only enjoy but also share for your next post! We suggest ordering Bubble Trouble which is made of black tea, vodka, mango, rum; Green Dragon which includes gin, dry vermouth, snap pea, lemon; and Ghenghis Khan that has tequila, amaro, mint, ginger, lime, and Angostura.

We're always down for a Happy Hour as we find that it's a great way to sample a menu and either stay longer or come back for more of an immersive experience. Wonderland Bar's Happy Hour runs Wednesday through Friday from 5–7 PM. It features $10 signature cocktails, select wines, and a rotating menu of small bites. It’s the perfect introduction to Wonderland’s flavors and vibe, especially for a first visit.

If you're looking for ways to shake up your week with your friends or significant other, every Thursday night they host an open mic!

ATHLEISURE LIST | NORDIC STRONG

June 16, 2025

We're always looking for our next studio fitness to try out. Nordic Strong started in Copenhagan and this Summer will have a pop up in Sag Harbor from Memorial Day - Labor Day before opening a new location in the Flatiron District of NYC this Fall! Nicoline Roth is the Founder/CEO of this studio. She was born and raised in Copenhagen where she enjoyed hiking in the mountains in the Summer and cross-country skiing in the winter. Her workouts were rooted in nature, connection, and simplicity.

Nordic Strong's flagship studio opened in Copenhagen in November 2022. Every part of the brand - from the design to the name - reflects a deep connection to the Nordic “way of life.” Nordic speaks to the founder's roots in nature, movement, and a culture that prioritizes wellness, simplicity, and balance. It's about a mindset as opposed to a geographical reference. Strong refers to both the physical and mental elements. In addition to building physical strength in these classes, it's important to have inner strength, presence, confidence, and community that their training style and physical space help to cultivate.

There are 3 class formats which are different in style and intensity, but are centered around their patented fitness machine inspired by cross-country skiing.

Nordic Strong is their signature class that fuses strength with high energy, offering a full-body workout that combines intervals on the machine with floor-based work using dumbbells.

Nordic Cardio turns up the pace and is rooted in endurance-style training and focuses on getting your heart rate up through fast-paced intervals. You move between the machine and dynamic bodyweight exercises, and it’s all about boosting cardiovascular fitness and stamina.

Nordic Sculpt shifts into a slower, more controlled gear. It focuses on precision, balance, and deep muscle activation. The movements are inspired by Pilates and are designed to strengthen the muscles you don’t always target in high-intensity workouts. Every session ends with breathwork to help reset and ground you before heading back into your day.

The studio is intentional by design. The lounge and reception area are light, calm, and welcoming, furnished with Scandanavian design pieces that make it feel elevated but still cozy. Once you step into the training room, it’s darker, more focused, and designed to help you lock into your workout.

The lighting is inspired by the Northern Lights and changes throughout the class in intensity and color, emulating the parallel physical journey throughout a session.

ATHLEISURE LIST | THE RA RA ROOM

May 18, 2025

Phoenix is in the midst of a major cultural and culinary shift. It’s always had natural beauty and big energy, but now there’s this bold new layer of luxury, innovation, and downtown vibrance that’s impossible to ignore. You’ve got nationally recognized restaurants, a dynamic art scene, and a community that’s craving high-touch, high-style experiences. The Ra Ra Room, is a menbers-only supper club located inside the PHX Arena so you can catch a Suns or Mercury game.

Mat Ishbia (owner of the Phoenix Suns and Mercury) and Major Food Group (Jeff Zalaznick, Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi) who has built CARBONE, ZZ’s Club, The Grill, and Sadelle’s. They've redefined dining in cities like New York, Miami, Hong Kong, and now Phoenix.

This is paired with Mat’s commitment to transforming downtown into a true lifestyle destination making this a perfect blend of creativity and ambition.

The Ra Ra Room is designed as a sultry Art Deco (think Gatsby elegance) speakeasy tucked discreetly within the event level of the PHX Arena. It’s intimate and indulgent, with layered textures, moody lighting, custom finishes, and a sense of discovery in every corner. There’s a lounge that hums with energy, two private dining rooms for more exclusive affairs - a gorgeous bar.

Membership isn’t limited to locals! Whether you live in Phoenix full-time or travel in often for Suns games, business, or leisure, The Ra Ra Room is designed to be your go-to escape. They're looking for individuals who appreciate luxury, exclusivity, and community. With curated experiences, concierge access, and event perks, it’s more than a dining membership—it’s a lifestyle investment.

The menu includes some of MFG’s greatest hits, with signature dishes like CARBONE’s Spicy Rigatoni Vodka, Veal Parmesan, and Caesar Salad alla ZZ. There’s also a stunning raw bar—Dressed King Crab, Half Lobsters, beautifully plated oysters—as well as classics like sizzling Shrimp Scampi and their crave-worthy Steakhouse Burger.

We also like that their lavish gourmet pantry that has their house-made popcorn, it's buttery, aromatic, totally addictive. Then there's the candy dispenser bar filled with every gummy variety you can imagine, like something straight out of a candy store, plus boxes on boxes of fan-favorites from chocolatey to fruity and beyond.

Their white-glove service starts from the moment you enter through an unmarked door signified only by a glowing martini icon. It includes a personalized reservation system, the highest quality of table attention, complimentary valet parking, and exclusive access to last-minute reservations or event tickets. Whether it’s a special celebration or a spontaneous night out, everything is tailored for ease, elegance, and delight.

ATHLEISURE LIST | TACOMBI

May 17, 2025

We love throughout the month to pop into our local Tacombi (Flatiron and West Village is in our rotation here in NYC). We love popping by for a late lunch and if it's Tues, we're partaking in the Taco Tuesday Club which allows you to buy 1 and get 1 free taco! The vibe is always chill, it's fun music, and you can get in and out quickly if you're interested or hang out with friends and family!

Tacombi began in 2006 in the Yucatán which is all about balmy weather, palm trees, and eternal beach vibes. Regardless of the location that you happen to grab a bite, you'll find those vibes in there - even when it's in the winter! By 2010, it came to NY and began popping up in various neighborhoods, and is now in a number of cities across the country!

We have a number of our go-to's that are non-negotiables when we come in! The Al Pastor Tacos which are so juicy with Mexico-style free-range pork that is marinated in chiles and spice. We love the slice of pineapple and being able to squeeze a bit of lime on it. We always pair it with Rice & Beans as well. Every now and then, we also like to add another taco from their Beef Birria with Jalisco Brisket and Chihuahua Cheese that is served with a savory broth!

It's always fun to pair this with their Mezcalita, a strawberry Mezcal drink that we have enjoyed in their Flatiron location as well as their Sandia Santa which is a watermelon aqua fresca with lime and tequila. It's always refreshing.

They also have a selection of beers. that are great to enjoy with whatever you decide to eat whether you're there for lunch or for dinner!

Defintiely make sure that you keep an eye out on their Instagram as they do a number of culinary collaborations where new items are added to the menu for a limited time. There may also be different menus depending on the location that you happen to dine in.

Whether you're dining in or getting take-out, you are bound to have a satisfying meal!

When we're ready to grab a bite, we're heading to Canopy Cancun that has three dining options that cater to every palate. Azulinda Cafe & Bar serves artisanal cuisine sourced from local markets paired well with regional wine and beer, providing guests with an authentic taste of the region. Canopy Central serves as a laid-back extension of Azulinda, offering refreshing beverages and light appetizers. Wander Rooftop is the heart of the property, featuring an infinity pool and lounge, where guests can enjoy cocktails, cuisine, and local music plus a spa offering relaxing treatments.

Chef Miguel Estrada is launching a Chef's Special Series that brings traditional Mexican dishes with a modern twist and each month these meals are prepared with ancestral techniques: in February - Queso Prehispánico de Bola Relleno (aged cheese stuffed with sak kool, chicken, olives, raisins, and a fried tomato-onion-garlic sauce, March - Brazo de Reina Maya (Tamal-style dish with masa, chaya leaves, and boiled egg, steamed in banana leaves) and April - Mixiote de Short Rib (Tender short rib marinated in achiote paste and slow-cooked in maguey paper).

To complement the Chef Special Series, Andrei Cocom, Bar Supervisor crafted 3 cocktails inspired by Mexican heritage and local flavors: Ya Ax Verde (February) – A refreshing blend of white rum, lime juice, pineapple, cucumber purée, and agave syrup, symbolizing renewal and growth, Kiin (March) – A vibrant vodka cocktail with lime, orange, passion fruit purée, natural syrup, and turmeric, embodying the sun’s warmth, and El Tama (April) – A playful mix of rum, tamarind purée, sparkling wine, tamarind candy, and worm salt for a perfect balance of sweet, sour, and earthy notes.

ATHLEISURE LIST | SALTDROP

February 15, 2025

We kicked off the year by trying out SaltDrop, a methodology that combines music-driven, high-energy sculpting and conditioning with intentional, feel-good movement designed to make you stronger, lighter and more connected. We took our class with Founder/Creator Dino Malvone who launched it in Oct 2019, continued in his apartment during the pandemic, and then in March 2022 he brought it to the current studio that he is located in.

He felt that fitness felt intimidating and exclusive and he wanted to create a space where regardless of your fitness, level, age, or background - you could feel successful in this methodology. His passion for movement, music, and community and to celebrate who you are was important to him. We can agree that in taking his classes, those vibes come across as he encourages you to listen to your body and to modify as needed (even if those modifications may be different then the ones he suggests).

You can sign up for Signature which is the core of SaltDrop. It's a high-energy, music-driven class that blends strength and cardio into a full-body sculpt session where you will move and sweat. Gravity is the Signature class but doesn't have jumping and is great for a grounded, low-impact effective option. We took Heated Sculpt which is a no-jumping, strength-focused class in a heated room at 90°. The heat deepens the intensity and helps you stretch, sweat, and release tension. Heated HIIT is their take on a low-impact HIIT class. It's fast-paced, challenging, and powered by an epic playlist, all while staying kind to your joints. We can agree that we felt better than we walked in after class and can't wait to come back and add this to our rotation of classes and we highly suggest taking a class led by Dino!

If you can't come to class in person, his classes are available on his digital platform offers live-streamed and on-demand classes to help you experience SaltDrop from anywhere.

In the weeks ahead, you should check out SaltDrop In February as they are hosting a "Love on Yourself" Valentine's Day event that combines movement with self-care. Once Spring arrives, keep an eye out for outdoor pop-up classes and collaborations as it is important to Dino to take SaltDrop beyond the studio walls to connect with their community in new ways.

We enjoyed this class so much that we want to encourage you to book a class. Use ATHLEISURE20 for 20% off whether taking a class in the studio or On Demand (code expires March 1st) when booking your class with Atheisure Mag Summit codes.
