In this month’s issue, our front and back cover story is with singer/songwriter and producer, JJ Julius Son of Grammy nominated Kaleo who is known for their song, Way Down We Go. We talk with him about his creative process, how the band came together, touring in iconic venues, his wine in partnership with Maison Wessman, collaborations with Kingmaker cigars and Clocks + Colour that includes hats and jewelry. 

We caught up with Chef Kristen Kish to talk about her upcoming shows that we can't wait to see her hosting S23 of Bravo's Top Chef: Carolinas, which returns in Spring '26 and she is joining the cast of Peacock's Traitors for S4 which premieres in Jan. We also talk about the importance of kindness and her partnership with KIND bars, holiday gifting, and more!

We sat down with the cast and the Creator/Executive Producer and writer of STARZ's Spartacus: House of Ashur to talk about this alternate timeline show and what we can expect from a sure to be riveting series!

After attending a dinner at Manhatta where we got to hear from Medtronic about their latest device, Altaviva that allows those who have battled bladder contol problems to have a better quality of life, we took some time to find out more about the device and to learn about incontinence with Dr. Janet Harris-Hicks.

We enjoyed taking a class at Pvolve in partnership with Hers to find out about menopause and why mobility is so important as this stage of life is being navigated. We talk with members of each brand's executive team to find out about the program and what we need to know.

We sat down with Chef David Rose to find out about Holiday Eats as we prepare to make meals during this time of years as well as tips that will let us enjoy them and our guests! 

We pop down to DCs Georgetown to enjoy Thai street food at Rimtang where the recipes are passed down from the chef/owner Saran Peter Kannasute's mother who also works at this restaurant in this month's The Art of the Snack.

This month's Athleisure List comes from Cash Mountain Ranch which is Johnny Cash's former home that you can enjoy staying in when you're looking for a bit of rest and relaxation in Casita Springs, CA. In this month’s issue, our front and back cover story is with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten (front cover) and Chef Gregory Gourdet who both had various events during the Food Network NYC Wine Food Food Festival that took place at The Seaport this month. Our coverage focused on events that celebrated food, great sips, legendary chefs, and more! It also included our coverage of adjacent events we attended, a dinner we enjoyed at INDN, and our staycation at CODA Williamsburg Hotel.

This month, we have our interview with Megan Eugenio, sportsbroadcaster of Overtime. We talked about how she got into the industry, being a fan of an array of sports, her love for Tate McRae and more! We also did a fashion editorial photoshoot with her at Margaritaville Resort Times Square.

We sat down with super agent, Leigh Steinberg who many of know as the character that Jerry Maguire was based on. He has represented a number of top athletes across various leagues, and looking specifically at the NFL, he worked with Troy Aikman, Steve Young, and Patrick Mahomes II! He talks about his career, being a consultant for films/series that focus on sports, the agency he built, his comeback, the Leigh Steinberg Foundation, and his book that will be released after the Super Bowl. 

We also chat with Thomas Winstanley, who heads up the new edibles.com platform powered by Edible Brands, of Edible Arrangements fame. The platform has gummies and chews with the goal to destigmatize the hemp derived edibles space further and safely curate some of the best brands for those looking to be Healthy Not High. 

During this year's US Open, we attended the Lavazza Suite to watch Mixed Doubles, to meet the team, and to learn about launches around the brand. We sat down with Daniele Foti, VP of Marketing at Lavazza North America to talk about all of this and more in Espresso Time.  

The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show hit the runways again here in NYC. We sat down with Kirk Myers, founder of DOGPOUND, to talk about how he approaches training the Angels who are walking the show, how long he has been doing it, and tips that we an use to incorporate into our workouts, hydration, and recovery.

We caught up with Kay Sides, Founder of HATCh Showroom, as well as owner of R0AM, to talk about her career in the industry, her company, and her apparel and footwear line.

We recap the sights and sounds of this year's NY Comic Con which took place this month. We attended panels and press conferences for Apple+'s Slow Horses, Prime Video's Cross, and 2 of AMC's Anne Rice shows. 

We headed to NYC's Jack & Charlie's 118 which is known for their classic American fare, old New York feel, and phenomenal martinis! We sat down with Chef Ed Cotton to know more about the restaurant, their beverage program, and upcoming events in this month's The Art of the Snack.

We caught up with surfers who participated in this year's A Great Day in the Stoke presented by Lexus. We talk with the creator of this event, Nate Fluellen and competitor, Farmy Dia. We wanted to know more about the event, why it was created and how it brings the Surfing community together. 

Next month Orange Glou Fair returns to bring you the best of natural Orange Wines. Founded by Doreen Winkler, she gives us a preview on what we can expect from next month's event as well as who we should anticipate sipping.

This month, we had the pleasure of talking with Dan Abrams (On Patrol: Live, Live PD, Court Cam) and Amanda Paul-Garnier about the first Drinks with Benefits that took place this month. This Non-Alc event allows attendees to enjoy the best of this category along with food pairings. We wanted to know more about Dan's aproach to creating the event, the industry, and his interest in hospitality. We also recap what we saw while we were there.

In this month’s issue, our front and back cover story is with multi-Grammy winner vocalist, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, 40M+ records sold with his band Matchbox 20 as well as selling 18M+ records as a solo artist, Rob Thomas! Earlier this month, his tour made its way to the Seaport here in NYC as he has been touring throughout the Summer as well as heading to Australia and New Zealand for a number of dates this Fall! With the release of All Night Days dropping on Sep 5th, we were excited to sit down and talk to Rob about his phenomenal career with his iconic band; learning about his solo career as well as his 6th studio album (non-holiday); his creative process; why he wanted to release this album; having his son on tour with him as his lead guitarist and more!   

We love this time of year as the US Open is 3 weeks of matches at Arthur Ashe Stadium and Louis Armstrong Stadium where the best tennis from around the world plays at the final Grand Slam of the year! In addition to the matches themselves, there are a number of events that are adjacent to it that get you in the spirit from Aug 18th – Sept 7th! We share what we attended during Aug which includes watching the Mixed Doubles Matches thanks to the Lavazza team having us in their suite while we enjoyed watching Madison Keys, Naomi Osaka, Novak Djokovic, Jessica Pegula, Carlos Alcaraz – just o name a few! We also headed to the WTA Clubhouse X Gillette Venus to enjoy spending the morning/afternoon enjoying their café, a workout, shopping their market, and enjoying a panel that included current WTA #1 in doubles Taylor Townsend who has 2 major doubles titles for the 2024 Wimbledon Championships and 2025 Australian Open. We also share a bit of a recap from this year’s Taste of Tennis which was held at Aqua New York where top tennis athletes, chefs, and food converge on an epic night. We also enjoyed attending the evian Frances Tiafoe X Daniel Boulud dinner at SUMMIT One Vanderbilt where we were able to enjoy a phenomenal meal inspired by Frances’ favorite dishes as well as cocktails with an epic view.

We also recap MLP New York Tournament Finals that took place Aug 22nd – 24th. We provide sights and sounds from this 4 Day event as we were guests of Dulce Vida Tequila at this tournament that took place at City Pickle in Central Park.

We took some time to chat with Chef Christina Tosi to find about how Milk Bar came about, her creative process in making her treats, and her recent partnership with Premier Protein!

We have been fans of historian and business podcaster Lindsay Graham for a number of years as he has a number of shows that he does in partnership with Wondery through his production company Airship. We enjoyed talking with him to find out how he came to this industry, talking about his successful podcasts, the final season of Business Movers which concludes at the end of Aug, and more!

We caught up with DJ Sommer Ray to talk about her current tour, her music, and her beauty brand, Imarais Beauty!

We also enjoy the investigative podcasts by Charlie Webster as we were hooked when we heard her series Surviving El Chapo which she co-hosted and co-executive produced with 50 Cent. When she continued with Scamanda – we were thoroughly hooked to her style. She has just released Unicorn Girl, an Apple Original and it’s yet another podcast that takes you on a journey about a person, their actions, and it lets you decide on what you think about them.

We headed to DC to enjoy the phenomenal dishes and cocktails at Selva for this month’s The Art of the Snack.

We always look forward to Taste of Tennis which is a kick off event ahead of the US Open where the world’s best tennis athletes play at Arthur Ashe Stadium. We sat down with Penny Lerner of AYS Sports Marketing who created this event that brings the culinary world along with tennis stars together! It’s an evening of tasting phenomenal meals, seeing athletes compete in culinary, and more! She spoke with us for the 2nd year in a row to talk about the organization, purpose of the event, and what we can expect this year! We also talked with Aqua Restaurant Group who will be participating as the hosting venue with Aqua New York. We wanted to know more about this restaurant and why they wanted to participate. Next month, we will recap this phenomenal event along with interviews from the red carpet.

We made our way down to Tribeca to MM Kitchen Studio where we created a Summer Editorial Menswear shoot with Chef Marc Murphy who has opened a number of phenomenal restaurants, is a TV personality on Food Network on such shows as Chopped, Guy’s Grocery Games, and Beat Bobby Flay. We talked about his career, his approach to his food, upcoming projects, and more.

We made our way to Greenwich Village this month to chat with Chef Dominique Ansel about the newly opened Papa D’Amour as well as to enjoy a 9TASTING of some of his key dishes of sweet and savory items! Our culinary editorial shoot allows you to see what you need to enjoy upon your next visit.

We headed to NoMad to share 2 eateries that should be on your radar when you’re in the neighborhood. For lunch or dinner, we suggest Handroll Bar Rolling and chatted with the owner, Olivia Youngmi Ham who opened this restaurant due to her passion in this industry as a restaurant designer and consultant. She talks with us about dishes we should try, the ambiance, and upcoming events taking place there. In terms of a sweet treat, we love the innovative ice cream menu that Honey Kim of Honey’s at Bear Donut offers. She talks about her background prior to coming to this eatery, her creative process, and what we should have when we come in.

Matt Steffanina is not only one of the Co-Founders of the DNCR Academy and a choreographer who has worked with a umber of phenomenal artists including Taylor Swift, Meghan Trainor, and Jason Derulo to name a few. He is also a DJ who has been dropping songs that are feel good in nature. We talk about his creative process and upcoming projects that he is involved in.

We headed to Big Sur to Treebones Resort and in this month’s The Art of the Snack, we took a seat at Wild Coast Sushi to find out about this omakase style restaurant in a yurt! We also found out about the resort as well.

We made our way to Fanatics Fan Fest as a guest of OakleyMeta which debuted their new HSTN with Travis Scott and Tom Brady! You can check out what we saw through our lenses as well as other amazing moments at this sport focused festival which includes Derek Jeter, Alex Rodriguez and more.

The Summer Festival season is always an exciting time and here in NYC, Governors Ball kicks it off for us. This 3-Day festival takes place in Flushing Meadows Corona Park which allows you to immerse yourself in an array of musical genres. We’re recapping our favorite acts that we caught including Tyla, T-Pain, and Benson Boone!

Summer also means that Miami Swim Week kicks off the season. We make our way down to catch some of the best swimwear shows during this year’s Paraiso Miami Swim Week. We share some of our favorite looks from this year’s show!

BCB Brooklyn took place at Industry City and we met a number of spirit and hospitality brands on the trade show floor as well as opening and closing parties to find out more about these brands whether we have known them for years or it’s the first time we became aware of them. We take you through some of the highlights from the show and interview Jackie Williams, EVP of Shows for this industry only tradeshow.

We headed to D.C. to Shilling Canning Co for this month's The Art of the Snack, to find out about Chef Reid Shilling to find out about the heritage of his brand, his restaurant, and how he has partnered with farms and other purveyors to facilitate his menus.

On May 10th, he will be the Grand Marshal of the Japan Parade on Japan Day in Central Park West. We caught up with him to find out how he got into the industry, his passion for cooking, upcoming projects, and more!

Last month we had an incredible series of conversations with Co-Creator/Executive Producer, and writer Chris Brancato as well as cast members from MGM+’s Godfather of Harlem. We caught up with 2 additional cast members of this series, Elvis Nolasco and Erik LaRay Harvey.

We had the pleasure of chatting with Chef Esther Choi about her passion for Korean cuisine, her restaurants, and her upcoming season of Food Network’s 24 in 24: Last Chef Standing where she serves as co-host for this competition series. She also shared why she partnered with LISTERINE for a fun immersive culinary experience that we enjoyed as well.

This month, the NFL Draft took place and many people that we have enjoyed watching throughout their college career found out where they will be playing this season. We had the pleasure of connecting with QB Dillon Gabriel who played for the University of Oregon days before the draft to talk about his love for the game, how he trains, his partnership with Echelon Fitness, what the NFL Combine is, and what he is looking forward to in terms of the draft. We look forward to seeing him on the Cleveland Browns!

We caught up with noted designer Lele Sadoughi who collaborated with CHLOE Wines on a stunning bottle that we can enjoy. We talk about her line, creative process, and upcoming projects.

For over a decade, we have enjoyed seeing Titus Welliver playing Harry Bosch in Prime Video’s BOSCH and BOSCH: LEGACY! With BOSCH: LEGACY streaming its final season, we sat down with Titus to talk about how he came to this series, what it’s like to play this character, how he prepares, and the takeaways he learned from being in this series. We look forward to the spin-offs from this franchise.

We’ve been fans of Bachelor Nation from the first season and when we were first introduced to JoJo Fletcher in The Bachelor we knew that she was someone who we would continue to see - especially when she became The Bachelorette. We also interviewed cast members Rome Flynn, Lucy Fry, and Michael Raymond James as we talk about this historically inspired series, why they are part of this program and what we can expect this season. 

We sat down with pro surfer Brianna Cope who talks with us about her love for the beach, surfing, being in Surfer Girls on Prime Video, and her love for cooking on the beach! We chatted with her about her ambassadorship with Gozney and why this is something that we can enjoy when it comes to making pizzas wherever we roam.

We enjoyed an amazing dinner a few weeks back at Ludlow House to celebrate the launch of Cards on the Table, a digital series hosted by Stanley Tucci in partnership with Allbirds. After having such a great time at the event we wanted to know more about Allbirds as a brand, footwear aesthetic, how this series came about, and what we can look forward to.

We have been fans of Chef Maneet Chauhan for a number of years from her restaurants to her hosting and judging shows on Food Network. We sat down with her to find out how she got into the industry, why she loves cooking, finding out about her restaurant group, and upcoming projects.

S4 of STARZ's Power Book III: Raising Kanan will drop on Mar 7th. We caught up with the cast London Brown, Hailey Kilgore, and Malcolm Mays to find out more about who they play and what we can expect from the upcoming season.

We took some time with HGTV's Married to Real Estate stars and power couple, Egypt Sherrod and Mike Jackson. We talk about how they got into real estate, being an agent, broker, interior design, and construction. They also talk about how they got into TV, upcoming projects, and small businesses.

During NYFW FW25 which took place early Feb, we saw a number of runway shows, presentations, and events that gave us insight to trends and aesthetics that we can look forward to later this month. We share our finds from Frederick Anderson, NYMD, FILIPINXT, and more.

We make our way to Ireland to sit down with Chef Vincent Crepel of Terre to talk about how he got into culinary, where he trained as well as what we can expect when we are coming into his restaurant.

This month's The Art of the Snack takes us to DC with Tapori which recently opened on H Street and has a menu of Indian street food and phenomenal cocktails. We chatted with restaurateur Dante Datta about this new spot.

In this month’s issue, our front and back cover story is with the former CMO of Netflix, Endeavor; CBO of Uber, and Marketing Exec at Apple Music, and full-time castmember of S14 BRAVO's Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Bozoma Saint John. We talked with her about her career in working with innovative brands, her launch of her haircare line Eve by Boz, and of course we talk about RHOB. In addition, we had the opportunity to have her photoshoot at 77 Greenwich St PH and have an interview that includes the building as well as the interior designer/staging firm ARTEFACTO to talk about the property as well as how they brought the aesthetic of the building together.

We caught up with Walton Goggins who we have enjoyed in a number of his roles including Justified, Vice Principals, The Hateful Eight, and more! While we wait to see him in his upcoming shows The Righteous Gemstones and White Lotus, we talked about the holiday season and his campaign that he did with Walmart as well as what it meant to him in a full circle moment.

This month, we also chatted with former WWE Superstar (wrestled under Paige) and currently AEW wrestler Saraya! We talk about growing up in a wrestling family, coming to the WWE, being at the AEW, and upcoming projects that we should keep an eye out for.

This month's The Art of the Snack comes from Moon Rabbit in DC whose menu focuses on Vietnamese cuisine. We chat with Chef Kevin Tien who walks us through the menu, shares spices/ingredients of this cuisine, as well as what we can expect when we come into dine.

This month, we sat down with Kamie Crawford to talk about Catfish, being a host of her podcast Relationsh*t, as well as being the host of Are You The One, the importance of self-care, and her favorite reality shows.

We talk Game Day homegating with NFL Vet and Food Network host of Outchef'd as well as Christmas Cookie Challenge, Chef Eddie Jackson. We talk about how to have the perfect homegate, wings, pairing it with wine, and who his picks are as we head into thinking about the Super Bowl. In addition he talks S8 of Christmas Cookie Challenge. 

We've been a long time fan of Zooey Deschanel and enjoyed talking with her about her partnership with Vera Bradley, the holiday season, how she goes about gifting friends and family as well as upcoming projects that she has coming out!

This month, we had the pleasure of shooting our Lo-Fi Vibes Editorial at Technica House here in NY. In addition to showcasing 4 fall looks for when you're out and about and enjoying these warm and crisp days ahead, we got to know more about this creative space that has an impressive collection of vinyl records as well as headphones, speakers and additional equipment from Audio Technica. We had such a great time covering the 2024 Food Network NYC Wine Food Festival (NYCWFF) presented by Invesco QQQ. It was a great 4 day experience eating amazing bites, having great culinary conversations, and more! So to be able to connect with her again and to find out more about how she got into the industry, her bar, Tokyo Confidential, what the vibe is like, it's views of the Tokyo Tower and more - we're ready to pack our bags for our next drink!

We enjoy attending Citi Taste of Tennis which allows tennis stars and hospitality to come together. We talked with him about how he got into surfing, his passion for it, how he balances between between an athlete and taking the proper self-care he needs, and more. We also talk with him about Athletes for Good which established grants for athletes to give to their charity of choice.

Of course we have been glued to our screens watching our favorite athletes, sports, and countries during the Olympics! In this month's issue, we have interviews with 2X Team USA Gymnastic Olympic Medalist Jordan Chiles (G1, S1) who has already won Gold with her team! We talk about how she got into the sport, her passion for it, competing at Tokyo 2020 and Paris 2024!

We also sat down with Sara Hughes and Kelly Cheng who are a fantastic duo for Team USA Olympic Beach Volleyball. We talk about their road to these Summer Games, how they stay in shape and trained for it, and what they are looking forward to. 

We love how the Olympics bring people together whether it's the sport, the ceremonies, celebs, and even veterans. We sat down with Nastia Liukin (G1, S3, B1) 5X Team USA Gymnastics Olympic Medalist as we talk about her Olympic journey, advice to this years team who call themselves, The Golden Girls, and her love for pickleball. We talk about her collaboration with Recess Pickleball.

We also wanted to talked with Sydney Leroux who plays soccer for Angel City FC and is also a Team USA Soccer Olympic Gold Medalist from the London 2012 and 2015 FIFA World Cup winner. She talks about how she fell in love with soccer, why she enjoys playing it, the importance of proper recovery through injury, and more.  

We have always enjoyed Citi's Taste of Tennis which takes place here in NY right before the US Open! This event allows food, tennis stars, celebs, tennis enthusiasts, and more to come together to toast great chefs and restaurants, the hospitality industry, and some great competition at Arthur Ashe Stadium! With the event taking place in August, we sat down with Penny Lerner of AYS Sports Marketing to find out more about the event, why it was started, and what we can expect from this year's event. Earlier this year, Bob Marley's biopic, One Love came out in theaters and ahead of that release, Bob Marley and The Wailers: The Ultimate Illustrated History by Richie Unterberger came out. We wanted to talk with the author about the book, his music, life, legacy, and impact.

We all have shows we enjoy and when there is an opportunity to have a companion shows where there are elements of the show we love as well as providing context for the show and the real people that live those lives, it's a great merge of the two. We have been fans of and have interviewed various cast members of STARZ P-Valley. While we wait for the next season, you can enjoy their series Down in the Valley which is Executive Produced and hosted by Nicco Annan who plays Uncle Clifford in the TV series and within this companion series he takes us into the Delta to tell the stories of those that live there and drawing parallels between the scripted show and the reality of those who live it every day. We talk with him as well as Shoshana Guy who is also an Executive Producer. They talk about identifying the storytelling they brought forward, some of their favorite moments, and why this was something that they wanted to do.

We also talked with Lara Wolf who stars in Peacock's Those About to Die. We talked about her career, how she approaches her characters, why she was drawn to this Peacock Original, and upcoming projects.

We always enjoy when we can talk with designers and those in the fashion industry. In this month's issue we talked with Irene Chen, industry veteran and Co-Founder of luxury handbag brand of Parker Thatch. We wanted to know more about the line, the thought that goes into the handbags and jewelry that are created, what we can expect for fall/holiday and more!

We caught up with 3X WNBA Champion and 5X Team USA Women's Basketball Gold Medalist Diana Taurasi as we talked about how she fell in love with the sport, what it's like to prepare for her 6th Olympic appearance when she is currently in season with the Phoenix Mercury, and more.

We enjoyed seeing Reza Diako in The Diplomat and Tehran. We wanted to talk about playing Apostle Philip in S4 of The Chosen as well as upcoming projects. We also wanted to know how he came to acting, his approach to playing his characters, and upcoming projects.

We know that the Summer Games is only a few weeks away and as the athletes prepare, we caught up with 3 MICHELIN Star Chef Alexandre Mazzia who will be be at Paris 2024 bringing his culinary talents to the Olympic Village for the athletes. We talked about his background, how he defines his cuisine, being an Olympic Torch bearer and more.

Like many of you, we're so excited for S3 of FX's The Bear! We talked with castmembers from the show to talk about what we can expect as all episodes are streaming now!

If you have yet to watch MGM+'s Hotel Cocaine which takes viewers back to the late 70s/early 80s to The Mutiny Hotel which was considered the Studio 54 of Miami. We had the pleasure of talking with the Creator Chris Brancato and Director Guillermo Navarro as well as 2 of the leads from this show, Yul Vazquez and Danny Pino that focuses on the sex, drugs, disco, and drama of the era!

Fans of 9-1-1: Lone Star will enjoy our conversations with Julian Works who is also starring in the film, The Long Game. We got to hear this movie buffs favorite films, his approach to playing his characters, and more.

We always enjoy talking with our favorite actors and hearing about projects that they're working on. In addition to Maria Camila Giraldo's appearance in Netflix's Griselda and other upcoming movies including one with Al Pacino, we also wanted to know more about her nutritional brand, Fungiments which she created out of a personal need for her health.

This month was a busy month and in addition to other things on our schedule, we have recaps from NYC Pride which we are proud to be media sponsors for our 8th year, we also attended Governors Ball to enjoy 3 days of music, food, and good vibes, as well as Bar Convent Brooklyn where we connected with our friends in the spirit and hospitality industry at this tradeshow as well as epic after parties.

ATHLEISURE MAG ISSUE #101 | CURTISS COOK

In this month’s issue, our front and back cover story is with Showtime star of The Chi, Curtiss Cook. We sat down with him to talk about his approach to acting and how he connects to his characters, the success of The Chi, the importance of mental health and why it is important to him, as well as upcoming projects. We also enjoyed spending time with him in Chelsea at Selina Chelsea Hotel as we shot his cover at Creatures at Selina Rooftop and Music For A While listening lounge with key menswear looks for your next outing.

Earlier this month, we headed to Lifetime Fitness for the unveiling of their 7 Pickleball courts as well as to see legendary 8X Grand Slam Winner and 60 ATP Tour wins, Andre Agassi. We enjoyed a fireside chat with him as well as the founder of Lifetime Fitness, Bahram Akradi. We enjoyed hearing him talk about playing as a tennis star and how he has transitioned to enjoying pickleball. In addition, we were able to watch him as well as fellow pickleball stars Anna Bright, Tyson McGuffin, Collin Johns, and Ben Johns play in a series of exhibition games.

This month, we also caught up with 2x Team USA Swimming Medalist Lydia Jacoby ahead of the Summer Games in Paris to talk about her sport, swimming for the University of Texas at Austin, what her average week of training is like, and what the weeks ahead look like as Paris 2024 approaches. .

We enjoyed Season 1 of Outer Range and with Season 2 available on Prime Video, we enjoyed talking with Showrunner and Executive Producer Charles Murray to talk about how he was drawn to storytelling and why he enjoys doing it. We also talk about how he came to this neo-western and the power of secrets. We also connected with actors Tamara Podemski and Isabel Arraiza in this series to find out about their characters from Season 1 and what we can expect from Season 2.

Part of a story and its characters coming together takes place in its costume direction as it says a number of elements that are not necessarily in the script, but round out the picture! Costume Designer Allyson Fanger has been storytelling through costumes in films and television from Wild Things, 10 Things I Hate About You to Grace & Frankie, Shrinking, Apples Never Fall, etc. We caught up with her to find out how she got into the industry, her journey, how she approaches her craft, the difference between styling and costume design, and upcoming projects. 

We're back for our 7th year as Media Sponsors for PRIDE NYC which takes place throughout the month of June here in NYC. In advance of this, we wanted to share what you can look forward to this year in our pre-coverage and next month we will have more details on events that we attended.

Bar Convent Brooklyn takes place next month Jun 11- 12 as it's a time for those in the bar/beverage, and hospitality industry to come together to meet new spirit brands and sample launches as well. Ahead of us attending the trade show as well as related events, we wanted to connected with the Event Vice President, Jackie Williams to find out how this event came to be, an overview of its 6 years, and what we can expect this year for attendees and exhibitors in Industry City, Brooklyn. Next month, we'll share our thoughts on what we saw and enjoyed so that you can keep an eye out for new brands and launches.

In an already busy June ahead, Governors Ball will return to Flushing Meadows on Jun 7 - 9! We give an overview on what you can expect and what we look forward to as this music festival kicks off the summer season. Next month, we'll share what we saw and who we interviewed in our JUN ISSUE #102.

This month's The Art of the Snack comes from Heritage Grand Bakery, Heritage Grand and Restaurant and Pizza Bar in Bryant Park. We wanted to know more about this eatery that allows you to have a number of options to go if you're ordering from the bakery for breakfast and lunch and bites in between. We also liked knowing more about the restaurant that serves breakfast, lunch, dinner, and is a great happy hour spot.

In this month’s issue, our front and back cover story is with Grammy nominated singer/songwriter Jeremih who is known a for a number of hits including, Birthday Sex! We talk about his career, his creative approach, what it was like creating this hit song, and how he got into Birthday Sex wine. We also connected with noted winemaker, Russell Bevan who talks about how he got into the industry, how he got involved in this venture with Jeremih, and upcoming projects! 

We also caught up with NBA Champion and host of All the Smoke, Matt Barnes (previous Athleisure Mag cover for JUN ISSUE #54) as he and his fiance, Anansa Sims debuted The Barnes Bunch this month on WE TV! We talk about why they wanted to make this show, the importance of showcasing their relationship alongside their children as well as Anansa's mother, Beverly Jonhson, and upcoming projects that they have coming up.

We always like to stay with our fitness goals and we have been enjoying getting to workout on and to know more about Lagree Fitness' Micro! We circled back for another interview to talk with the founder of the method as well as the equipment, Sebastien Lagree to find out how we can use this machine, optimizing our time on it, and utilizing Lagree on Demand. We also talked with the CEO of Hyperice, Jim Huether, to find out about their assortment, great devices we should have, and why recovery is so important.

We also have another great fitness interview with Celeb Fitness Trainer, Jenna Willis who has trained Vanderpump Rules' Lala Kent, Liza Koshy, and Camila Cabello to name a few. We wanted to know how she came to the industry, why fitness is so important to her, how we can implement the lifestyle into our lives regardless of where we are in this journey, and her upcoming projects.

Launching May 2nd, The Idea of You starring Anne Hathaway and Nicholas Galetzine will be available on Prime Video. We had the pleasure of attending the Global Press Conference for this film a few weeks back where we got to find out more information on this movie which was adapted from the book of the same name, how the cast came together for this film, and why telling this story was so important.

We have been a long time fan of Natori which is a world of luxury across categories from lounge/sleepwear, RTW, home, fragrances, and more. We had the pleasure of sitting down with the brand's Founder, Josie Natori as she shared how she turned a career in finance to one that involves art, design, and showcasing her Asian heritage. We talk about her labels, the importance of being independent and family owned, as well as the importance of integrity and authenticity.

We also interviewed CEO, Founder, and Chief Cheerleader, Tony Drockton of luxury handbag brand, Hammitt. We talked about how this line started, the importance of knowing your customer, and leaning into the heritage that is familiar to those who are fans of the brand.  

This month's The Art of the Snack comes from Casa Bond which is located here in NY's NoHo. We wanted to know more about this Mexican fine dining cuisine that is found in this ambiance rich restaurant.

We also wanted to find out more about MICHELIN Guide from its history, its star ratings for restaurants and their latest Keys for hotels! We also found out about how important it is to keep the customer central in the restaurants and hotels that are featured.

This month's Athleisure List comes from Savta, a tasty destination in NYC that is a must to stop by. We also have Burke Williams Spa which has located in California that are perfect for resets and day spa amenities.
