TEAM USA WINTER OLYMPICS 2026 OUTIFTS

The Winter Olympics 2026 takes place from Feb 6 - 22nd in Milano Cortina (these games will be co-hosted by Milan and Cortina d'Ampezzo)! It’s a time to see your favorite athletes competing on a global stage from curling, snowboarding, alpine skiing and more. As we get closer to these games, we also enjoy seeing when each country unveils the looks for the teams from Opening Ceremony, Closing Ceremony and for competition looks. Ralph Lauren who has Team USA Olympic and Paralympic athletes for nearly 20 years unveiled their uniforms.

As we watch the Opening Ceremony, you’ll see Team USA arriving in a white wool coat with wooden toggles, a turtleneck sweater and wool trousers that are tailored. For the Closing Ceremony, they will have a color-block puffer jacket, wool turtleneck sweater, and white utility pants. Accessories will include knit mittens in red, white, and blue as well as a leather belt and suede alpine boots.

Via a release, David Lauren, Ralph Lauren’s Chief Branding and Innovation Officer shared that, “Ralph Lauren has had the immense privilege of outfitting Team USA for nearly 20 years, and the significance and sheer magnitude of dressing our nation’s incredible athletes—on the most dramatic stage in sport as they pursue their lifelong dreams—is an honor that never fades. Our design philosophy has always been about creating dreams and telling stories through style, and these uniforms, both timeless and modern, reflect the passion, optimism, and relentless pursuit of excellence that embody the American spirit.”

Each time they present the looks, the brand also features athletes who will be participating in the games.

“I’ve been doing a lot of training, spending a lot of time over in Europe pretty close to where we’ll be competing in Milan,” says Red Gerard. “Trying to get better snowboarding but in a safe way without getting hurt before the Olympics! I’m stoked to represent Team USA with Ralph Lauren and to be a part of the unveiling of my personal favorite Opening and Closing Ceremony Uniforms!!”

In addition to the looks that are worn by the athletes, Ralph Lauren also creates a collection that allows us to purchase them to support the team as well as the Winter Games. Ralph Lauren’s 2026 Team USA is available now and can be purchased online, at select Ralph Lauren stores, select department stores, and if you will be at the Winter Games this year, you can purchase pieces at their pop-up shop at the Rosapetra Hotel in Cortina d’Ampezzo.

ESCAPE WITH FLAVOR | CHANEL IMAN

Miami Swim Week took place May 29th - Jun 3rd of this year and a number of designers took their looks to the runways across South Beach as we already begin thinking of upcoming travels next year! It always ends up being a star studded events as athletes, celebs, recording artists, and enthusiasts show up to the shows as well as the associated parties!

We caught up with Supermodel Chanel Iman who was a Victoria's Secret Angel, as well as walked their shows, as well as iconic houses including Tom Ford, Gucci, Versace, Roberto Cavalli to name a few. She has also been in a range of campaigns for Dolce & Gabbana, Ralph Lauren, Bottega Veneta and more. She shared why she loves Miami Swim Week, shows she has enjoyed watching this season, the power of fashion, her summer travels, and partnering with CÎROC Limonata.

ATHLEISURE MAG: What do you love about Miami Swim Week?

CHANEL IMAN: I’m a beach lover so it’s exciting to see the new swimwear designs. I also really love Miami.

AM: Tell us about 3 of your favorite shows that took place this season?

CI: The Louis Vuitton Pharrell men’s fashion show is one of my favorites. Zuhair Murad is also one of my favorite shows to watch because of all the beautiful dresses every season! Rick Owens is such an edgy show with everyday great pieces I can’t wait to rock.

AM: Why is fashion so empowering for women and how can women use that as it pertains to their swimwear?

CI: Fashion is so empowering for women because it’s a way of expressing yourself and how you feel for the day.

AM: How have you found confidence through fashion?

CI: I feel confident about creating a new look for myself every day. I like matching highs and lows for a unique look. I work a lot with my stylist, Monica Rose, and she pulls the best.

AM: As someone who enjoys traveling, what are some tips that you have that we can use as we’re navigating across the globe?

CI: Travel light and take pieces that you can mix and match. Be conscious of where you’re traveling so you can respect the culture wherever you are traveling. I try not to overpack so I could leave space for new items wherever I go.

AM: Where do you enjoy traveling during the Summer and what are 3 must-haves that you will bring for a stylish beach getaway?

CI: Europe is our favorite destination to travel during the summer. We love the South of France, South of Italy, Greece, and Spain. I have to travel with my body chains, swimwear, and a good pair of flats.

AM: You have partnered with CÎROC Limonata, can you tell us more about this and why you enjoy it in your favorite summer cocktails.

CI: Partnering with CÎROC Limonata has been an incredibly exciting venture for me. CÎROC Limonata is the perfect blend of sophistication and taste, making it an ideal ingredient for summer cocktails. What I love most about it is its vibrant lemon flavor, which is both invigorating and versatile. AM: Are there any projects that you are working on that you would like to share that we can keep an eye out for?

Here in NY, the qualifying rounds for the US Open are currently underway! Starting Aug 29th - Sep 11th, the tennis tournament is bound to give us a number of major moments that we will be talking about! Ralph Lauren has been the official outfitter for this tournament since 2005. The Ralph Lauren U.S. Open Collection includes the ball crew and courtside official uniforms as well as a limited edition tennis-inspired collection. This campaign was shot at the USTA Billie King Jean National Tennis Center and featured 5 of the U.S. Open Ball Crew members as well as Ralph Lauren models.

As is the case when Ralph Lauren creates uniforms for a sporting event, you can also purchase these items as well to be part of the festivities while watching on-site, at home or when you’re out and about going about your day!

As the Summer Olympics in Tokyo ended a few months ago, we’re already 100 days out from the Winter Olympics in Beijing! With the postponed Olympics taking place this year, we don’t have the 2 year gap that we tend to have. The Opening Ceremonies will takes place on Feb 4th - 20th. With that said, Polo Ralph Lauren unveiled Team USA’s Opening and Closing Ceremony looks! As we head closer to the Winter Games, we’ll get to know more about who has qualified to play and until then, we can enjoy seeing more looks that we will see for those that are about to take the global stage!

On the 100th day remaining prior to the Olympic Games, Ralph Lauren shared Team USA’s Closing Ceremony Olympic and Paralympic uniforms! This year, they’re focused on a clean and graphic look for its athletes that they have been dressing for the Summer Games since 2008. In addition, these looks were created in partnership with Dow to optimize the use of ECOFAST™ Pure Sustainable Textile Treatment, an advanced pre-treatment solution for more sustainable cotton dyeing that significantly reduces the amount of water, chemicals and energy used compared to traditional dye processes and will be utilized within cotton products in the Team USA apparel collection. MIRUM® is a revolutionary leather alternative material made from renewable resources that include plant-based materials and agricultural by-products and is a solution that is free of synthetic plastics. The MIRUM® Olympic Patch was developed in partnership with Natural Fiber Welding, Inc, a leading sustainable material science company that Ralph Lauren recently invested in, that has revolutionized the use and reuse of plant fibers and materials into patented, high-performance materials.

Ralph Lauren unveiled the looks with a number of Olympians from Team USA including (l-r) our April Ross (Beach Volleyball), Alix Klineman (Beach Volleyball) and Nathan Adrian (Swimming) just to name a few.

We’re always excited to see the array of looks that are involved in the Summer Games including the Opening Ceremony, competition, podium etc. Although this year’s postponed games will look different than in years past, we can definitely feel the excitement for the August games.

OLYMPIC STYLE | RALPH LAUREN CLOSING UNIFORMS TEAM USA

100 days from now, the Olympic Winter Games Pyeongchang 2018 will take place. Today, the United States Olympic Committee unveiled Team USA’s closing ceremony uniforms, designed by Polo Ralph Lauren, the official outfitter of the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Teams for the sixth Olympic Games in a row.

The uniforms worn for the closing ceremony parade are done in patriotic shades of red, white and blue, and include a white water-repellent down jacket; navy double-fleece pants with red stripe detailing, and a vintage ski-inspired sweater in a bold red, white and blue block stripe. They are accessorized, by wool gloves with a winter-inspired intarsia pattern and a matching ski hat; a graphic bandanna featuring the American flag, and brown suede mountaineering boots with red laces.

As always, Polo Ralph Lauren Team USA Collection will be available next month in select Ralph Lauren and Polo Ralph Lauren retail stores as well as Team USA Shop!

LUKE BRACEY GETS EXTREME

This month, we attended the launch party for POLO RED which announced the new face, Luke Bracey, for the high selling cologne. We took a few moments to find out about the actor who has been in a number of movies including, the Point Break as well as Hacksaw Ridge, which is enjoying a lot of buzz during this awards season.

ATHLEISURE MAG: What was it like being selected for POLO RED?

LUKE BRACEY: The process of becoming the face of POLO RED has been so enjoyable and fun. I’m so honored to be the new face of POLO RED – being part of such an iconic brand is truly a privilege. Having the opportunity to work with Bruce Weber was also a great experience. He's a beautiful man and is so talented.
 
AM: What are your duties as the face of POLO RED?

LB: As the face of POLO RED I truly live and breathe the fragrance – I focus on bringing the speed, adrenaline, power of the POLO RED EXTREME lifestyle to men everywhere. Next I'll be joining the Ralph Lauren Fragrances team in Madrid to help kick off the global launch of the fragrance.
 
AM: Say 3 words describing POLO RED.

LB: Endurance, adrenaline, boundary-pushing. 
 
AM: You're a busy man as you were in the remake of Point Break, you were in Hacksaw Ridge which had a lot of buzz this awards season, what movie will we see you in next?

LB: I’ve got a couple of movies in the pipeline, but being the face of POLO RED is the role that I’m really focusing on right now.
 
AM: You're in great shape, besides surfing what workouts do you do?

LB: I’m very no-nonsense when it comes to fitness. I do 100 push-ups and 100 sit-ups every day. When I get to the gym, I like to keep it pretty basic and my routine tends to vary. Sometimes I go through periods where I go to the gym 5 days a week, and then take a few weeks off and before getting back into it. It’s all about balance.

AM: How do you give time to yourself?

LB: One of my favorite things to do is read. Right now I’m reading a great book called "Prisoners of Geography" by Tim Marshall. It’s a captivating book about how geography still plays a pivotal role in politics today. Even though it's 2017, geography is still the biggest factor. In addition to reading, I like to be in the water as much as possible. I try to go surfing and swim as much as I can.
 
AM: What's your personal style?

LB:  My style is pretty relaxed - I'm a tee shirt and jeans guy most of the time. I love my Blundstone boots, they’re definitely a staple in my personal style. When I’m hanging out with friends I’m usually in board shorts and flip flops.
