We've always enjoyed a bowl of Mac and Cheese - regardless of the time of year; however, at this time of year - there definitely feels like there couldn't be anything better then this as temperatures continue to drop! In NYC, there is an undeniable cheese destination known as Murray's Cheese where you can purchase a number of meats, cheeses as well as to make your favorite buratta, as well as ordering your favorite grilled cheese sandwiches when you're in the Greenwich Village for lunch!

Earlier this year, we noticed that next door to the Bleeker flagship sat a comfort pop-up destination called, Murray's Mac and Cheese. Although we have been on a number of occasions, it's important to know a few things before making your first order as there are over 30 mix-ins that you can do to make your own Mac and Cheese or you funds for Breast Cancer Awareness, they offered a Beet and Capri Mac and Cheese where $1 went to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation. Size options include: Snack Mac (8 oz.), Meal Mac (12 oz.), Hungry Mac (16 oz.) and Family Mac (28 oz). Enhance your order by adding $5 to include a soup or a salad and a select beverage (a number of waters, cold brew coffees and seltzers are offered). Although we don't like choosing favorites, their signature offerings of Cabonara (Fontina, Mozzerella, Pancetta and Peas) and French Onion (gruyere, raclette, caramelized onions, and bacon) are on our list for an upcoming visit - we also definitely want to create our own Mac and Cheese with Black RIver Blue Cheese, English Peas, Pancetta and Basil Pesto!

When the fall hits the city, you know there will be days where you take in sunny days that reflect vibrant leaf foliage as well as rainy days. It was on a rainy day this month when we enjoyed High Tea Service at Plaza Athénée New York at Bar Seine which has a warm aesthetic from plush chairs, wingtipped chairs and more. Our High Tea Service included a 3 course meal of: warm scones, croissants, and muffins, complete with clotted cream, honey, butter, and preserves. We also enjoyed an array of sandwiches including savory smoked salmon and ultra-fresh cucumber & lobster salad. The third course included a number of sweets from chocolate covered strawberries, dark and white chocolates and more!

In terms of the tea selection, there were 10 to choose from. To enhance this tea, you can also add a glass of champagne which is what one would expect at this five star hotel.

For those that are tea enthusiasts, Afternoon Tea refers to a selection of finger foods to enjoy with your tea; however, HIgh Tea is more substantial in terms of the offerings and a bit more filling. Plaza Athénée New York's service is available from 2-5pm and has a knowledgeable staff that can walk you through the tea service and answer any questions that you have regarding milk in your tea, putting cream on your scones and more.

When the weather is warm or even when there's just a hint of a chill in the area, it's obvious to think about running outside. But when the weather turns, for those runners that don't want to battle the elements, there is a studio that will allow them to continue comfortably with oxygen-enriched air!

We headed to Precision Run which is founded by athlete, David Siik who created a program within Equinox Gyms and who has a standalone studio in Flatiron. Precision Run's indoor treadmill class has custom Woodway Treadmills where you will increase your speed, incline as well as activate your recovery periods. This workout method is an interval training done in 3 parts. In each part you have a serious of increased movement. In the first section, you run for a minute and recover for a minute, in the second portion you run for 90 seconds and recover for 90 seconds and in the final section, you run for 2 minutes with 90-second recovery. Within these regimented periods, the instructor guides you through the various challenges you need to do with incremental adjustments.

As you advance throughout the 50-minute classes, there are visual cues that alert you when you're engaging in the next step of the run or transition into recovery. The music also changes to go along with the various portions of the run and the screen allows you to see your progress. Guests can access their app which keeps all the data of the races you have run. In addition, when you come to class, your machine is already set with your stats as well.

After taking this performance-based class, you leave knowing about your PR - Personal Record the fastest speed in miles per hour that you can maintain for 1 minute. We enjoyed this total body core workout as well as after the run there are a series of workouts you do on the treadmill on your back to work your muscles as well as to begin the process of stretching.

The amenities offered at Precision Run studios includes a recovery station with a number of products by Hyperice to target your muscles in the way that works best for you. All lockers also have USB charging outlets and the bathrooms offer premium amenities for use after class. There is also a bar area where you can purchase performance beverages as well as bars.

For those that enjoy having cups of tea that are innovative and filled with decadent flavor, Le Tea is your new destination. Since June 20th of this year, they have had a rolling soft opening with its grand opening being on August 18th.

Located in NoMad on Broadway, there is an active exploration of space in NYC for additional locations such as Long Island City and Staten Island.

Le Tea was founded by fashion graduates of Parsons The Newschool for Design in NYC. They believe that their aesthetic as a medium for beverages draws a connection between art and life. In addition, environmental protection is key as they have recyclable stainless steel "Golden Straws" and high-quality Pet 1 non-disposable plastic cups.

The brand utilizes French Purée and authentic Chinese tea sources which satisfies their customers with a novel tea beverage that is bitter yet sweet. This not only refers to tea culture, but the art of life as well. With all the senses being utilized, guests can enjoy a tea that is highly aromatic with a drink that resonates with their personal life as well.

Three signature teas that are recommended are Mango Fruit Tea & Milk Foam, Mixberry Fruit Tea & Milk Foam and also Starry Kumquat Lemon. Fruit tea is the most popular category on the menu. An interesting offering that one should try is Le Cheese Coffee which is only available at Le Tea. It's a mixed taste of cold brew coffee and salt cheese foam. It's definitely a unique tasting experience.

We suggest pairing these beverages with some of our faves: Rose Mille Crepes, Mini Croissants and Moon Cakes. In addition, if you're looking to take a few moments for yourself or with friends, then sitting in the tea salon is a great way to take in the fall and catch up on emails, reading or taking a moment of zen.

Wine is definitely one of those beverages that we enjoy drinking with our meals, sharing with friends and knowing more about it. We took a moment during NYFW to checkout City Wine Tours which allows you to choose a neighborhood where you will visit 2 eateries to know more about 3 wines that you will sample at each place as well as appetizers at the culinary destinations. You walk away knowing more about the varietals, taking notes about the wines you enjoy during the tour and being able to flex your wine muscles.

Back in 2011, 3 wine-drinking friends; Dan Andrew, Rick Goldberg, and Christian Iannucci began this company in Boston in 2011. Wes Narron joined as Chief Wine Ambassador soon after. Wes believes that learning about wine should be as much fun as drinking it.

For those in Boston, you can select tours in North End, South End, Back Bay and Harvard Square. In NYC, these tours are available in Soho, West Village and Upper West Side. Those in Philadelphia can go to Old City, Center City and Fishtown.

When it comes to pairing restaurants within the tours to the wines, City Wine Tours tries to find restaurants that have a wine list pricing based on value, rather than obscurity or exclusivity. Then they set up the 6 wines like you would see at any official wine tasting. They include a sparkling wine, dry white, sweeter right or rose, light bodied red, medium to full bodied red and something interesting.

In addition to signing up for a tour that has various people within it, there are options available when it comes to private ones as well. City Wine Tours wants their guests to have a great experience. We have become fans of BIVE, which stands for Balance + Vitality, which are the two biggest principles of the brand. They want to show people that even with something that’s typically considered as indulgent as ice cream, one can still incorporate it into their diet and feel good about it. BIVE is ice cream with a purpose.

BIVE opened its doors in September 2018 but was in process long before that. Founder Carla Noboa spent over a year perfecting the initial offerings to maximize the benefits of the superfoods while still creating something delicious.

The original flavors were Boost Me Up (Passion Fruit, Collagen, Chia seeds, Coconut water and Amaranth), Soothe Me Up (Valerian root, Toasted coconut, Almond milk, Coconut cream, Dark chocolate chip and Vanilla), Pick Me Up (Dark chocolate, Coconut milk, Coconut cream, Chia seeds and Amaranth),

Carla comes from a nutrition background and wanted to find a fun way to consume superfoods. As an avid ice cream fan, she kept looking for options that could satisfy a sweet tooth and promote balance + vitality, but most of the “healthy” options available were merely cold and artificially sweet. She set out to create something new: an ice cream with a purpose that used real ingredients from Mother Earth. For her, being connected to nature and being satisfied with what you put in your body was personally fulfilling. She wanted to find a way to help others do the same.

BIVE offers seasonal flavors that currently include: Sexy Butter (Peanut Butter, Chocolate Chips, Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Coconut Milk, Cashew Milk, and Maca), which is designed to enhance energy balance hormones, and improve sexual dysfunction.

The seasonal flavors tend to stick around longer than initially planned because customers love them so much! There are a bunch of ideas in the works for fall, come by the shop to see what makes the final cut.

The cones provided at BIVE come from the Konery, which hand rolls all their cones in Brooklyn. BIVE currently offers French Vanilla, Dark Chocolate, Matcha, and Lavender, but this lineup will change as new flavors are developped.

All flavors are available in pints at BIVE as well as GrubHub, Postmates, Seamless, and UberEats. They sell pre-packaged individual 4 oz portions which you can purchase in groups of 4.

For many people, ice cream is comfort food. It's a natural stress reliever by its sheer existence, but then by the time you finish, you sometimes end up feeling sluggish or depressed. Fans of City Winery will want to also keep City Winery Pop-up as its a sister location. City Vineyard has a number of wines to enjoy as well as entertainment. City Winery Pop-up opened on July 25th, 2019. These vino oriented destinations are founded by Michael Dorf who is also the CEO.

When you're enjoying their housemade wines (Soho-Vignon Blanc, Rosè of Syrah, Pinot Noir) at City Winery Pop-up, we suggest the Chickpea hummus and the burrata. At City Vineyard, we have two words - Seafood Platter.

A Room at the Beach opened in 2018 in Bridgehampton, NY. Founded by Lucy Swift Weber and Charles Lemonides, two passionate entrepreneurs and travel-enthusiasts, were interested in creating a boutique hotel as an expression of their love for The Hamptons.

With only 10 rooms at the hotel, they were designed via the founder's inspired travels of their favorite places around the world, including Marrakesh, Harbour Island, Tulum, and Ireland. Unfussy, barefoot luxury is what defines this Hamptons destination.

The classic structure was rebuilt in a soft cedar exterior and up-to-date interiors. To create a sense of it being all about the outdoors they built an expansive, well defined deck in the front and put doors in each shower to the back. The star of the property is the parallen rows of redwoods that pull you out into the center of the property.

Each room is meticulously decorated with its own look and feel to bring to life the best of the locale's treasures.

When staying at A Room at the Beach, there are a number of in-room amenities that include: Frette linens and robes, full-sized Malin & Goetz toiletries, and personal Nespresso machines. Gourmet minibars are stocked with Casa Dragones tequila and treats from L&W Market, the latest offshoot of the Almond group, co-owned by Charles’s brother Eric.

The hotel is a short walk away from the charming hamlet of Bridgehampton and is just two and a half miles from some of the Hampton's most beautiful beaches. It is also a mile away from the popular Wolffer Estate Vineyard and three miles from Sag Harbor.

Guests are welcomed to enjoy the sauna, outdoor pool, and expansive garden. Serena & Lily bicycles are available for a quick excursion to the beach, the nearest park, or the best fishing spot. Beach passes are available to all guests and Weber grills are also available throughout the property. Yoga is additionally offered to guests every weekend.

Campers enjoy an array of activities that allow them to rest, recharge and to engage with fellow attendees. With professional trained on-staff counselors, activities include arts & crafts, writing, playing music, self-defense, sensory walks, night hikes, greeting card making, speaking Shakespeare, book readings, acroyoga and more.

Guests have access to luxury cabins, outdoor areas, 2 lakes, heated pool, athletic fields, theater and performance space, yoga an dance spaces, gyms, and full art studios.

This camping experience is recreational drug and alcohol free as well as tech free (no access to your smartphones) which allows people to connect with one another and to truly be present.

When purchasing your all inclusive camp experience, breakfast, lunch and dinner are created by expert foodies that meets the dietary needs (food allergies, restrictions and preferences) of the guests that are attending. Previous campers have enjoyed the late night snacks offered at Ma's Basement (their camp canteen) like s'mores.

Guests can stay in a shared luxe cabin or they can bring their own tent and camp on the grounds. Cabins come with attached private bathrooms, air conditioning, shaded porches, beds with premier bedding and pillows and you can select inclusive/mixed gender or an all male/female housing.

Last month, Standard Dose launched its three-story space as a CBD based wellness experience in NYC's NoMad neighborhood. Their aim is to create an environment as a destination for elevated wellness that aims to facilitate an understanding of natural restorative practices. Guests can enjoy high quality CBD and plant-based products, daily yoga, meditation, education workshops and spa services. Educators are on site to inform shoppers on the benefits and uses of 100 curated CBD and plant-based topical and ingestible products.

Zip Aviation launched in 2004 and offers helicopter tours of New York City and private charter service from NYC to the entire Northeast United States. They use the newest, state of the art technology for those that enjoy arial tours, they have access to Bose headphones to listen to the full tour experience which is offered in 9 different languages.

Helicopters are available within an hour's notice and can take people anywhere within a 300-350 mile radius. Common destinations from NYC that can be chartered include: Connecticut and New Jersey. During the summer, they will fly people to the Hamptons, Martha's Vineyard, Nantucket, Montauk, Philadelphia and D.C. In addition, this is a great option for airport transfers as well.

Any day can be Taco Tuesday as it's an essential way to get through the week and to enjoy good vibes with friends. With an array of locations, Taco Dumbo is a market fresh tacqueria and cold-pressed juice margarita bar inspired by the healthy lifestyle where beach, surf, and sun are synonymous with fresh local food. Known for creating positive vibes environment where guests can relax and escape by enjoying a selection of food and beverage that transports you to Southern California.

A number of their favorite dishes and beverages include responsibly sourced ingredients with a personal touch to design a delicious menu that suits all eating styles. Food inclusivity is woven into the menu that provides options for meat lovers, vegans, vegetarians, kosher, dairy-free, or gluten-free diners.

Signature dishes off the menu include truffle shroom and rotiserie chicken "tinga" to beef short-rib and nori spicy tuna tacos. Their chef has created a plant-based "impossible" taco which pairs easily as a side to options that include grain bowls and salads.

Fresh ingredients are essential as they are locally sourced and elevate the drink selection to guests. Recreating a spin on a refreshing margarita includes six different options of pressed juice and nine different types of salts to the rim.

With a cantina feel that includes neon lighting, interesting decor elements that can include swinging chairs, pink phones and other quirky elements, its look creates a vibe that fuses food and fun together. Taco Dumbo has a number of locations in Manhattan that provides Southern California's vibes while also being about to have their own aesthetic in the neighborhoods that they are available in. In addition, each restaurant is ideal for having lunch, grabbing a drink after work prior to going on about your night as well as to make it a great after work party spot.

ATHLEISURE LIST | TSION CAFE

Beejhy Barhany, an Israeli Ethiopian opened Tsion Cafe in 2014 in Harlem's historic Sugar Hill district. Her goal was to bring the Ethiopian and Mediterranean healthy culture and living to the Harlem community because this area was her home. The location of Tsion Cafe is famously known for being Jimmy's Chicken Shack. Back in the 40's, that's where Malcolm X and Redd Foxx were frequently spotted hanging out and where jazz saxophonist Charlie Parker Jr., washed dishes before his big break.

She sees Tsion Cafe as a medley of Ethiopian, Israeli and American cultures. Guests can enjoy these foods,

live music and art of the community when dining at Tsion Cafe.

Three signature dishes that should be enjoyed is the Ethiopian Veggie Combo - Shiro atakilt, red lentil, kik alicha, gomen, beets served with injera; Tsion Eggs - caramelized onions, smoked salmon with injera and Shakshuka - 4 poached organic eggs sauteed with organic tomato, onion, pepper, spices and cilantro with bread.

Inerja comes with a number of the meals at Tsion Cafe, it is made with teff grain, a tiny round grain that is native to Ethiopia, it is also gluten free. The fermentation process takes about 3-5 days. This process is what gives injera its mildly vinegary (sour) taste. At Tsion our injera is made in-house, so it is always fresh.

Teff is rich in protein and contains many essential vitamins and minerals that are good for your digestive system, metabolism and immune system.

The dishes are from recipes that were passed down from her grandmother and mother and live on as a legacy to celebrate them at Tsion. These women influenced and shaped her into the woman she is proud to be today. Due to her global travels, she has added her twist and flavor to these already flavorful dishes.

Beejhy wanted to tell her story. As an Ethiopian-Jewish women in Israel and then the US, the narrative of Judaism did not include the thousands of years of history and cultural relevance that the Ethiopian Jewish community added to the larger story of Judaism. She started a non-for profit that created cultural showcases in the NY tri-state area, encouraging filmmakers and artists to have the opportunity to exhibit their works while promote the cultural heritage of the Ethiopian Jewish community. In doing these regularly, food became a cultural staple at these showcases. The response encouraged her to open the restaurant. It was an important way to showcase her culture in the community, and food is the gateway to learning a new culture.

Guests can enjoy a brand new menu that includes appetizers/bar menu, dinner and brunch which included Falafel. Recently, they introduced new handcrafted spirits to the drink menu. Patrons can enjoy their outdoor patio area while enjoying their meals.

Anna Kaiser is the Founder of AKT, one of the nation's fastest growing luxury boutique fitness franchise concepts. ATHLEISURE LIST | KAREN LORD PILATES MOVEMENT

If you're out in Venice, California we highly suggest checking out Karen Lord Pilates Movement. Its founder, Karen Lord comes from a fashion and art background and created this studio and method to connect the endless benefits of classical Pilates while delivering it in a contemporary and mindful package that offers a true connection to each person that walks through the door.

After her successes in New York, Karen wanted to expand to Los Angeles. This version of her studio started as a pop-up this past July, and they quickly saw a nice client base expanding quickly. Between people from New York who were excited to come in, or people who heard about Karen and her online videos, it started growing quickly.

When working out at their Abbot Kinney location, you will find a contemporary studio rooted in classical Pilates. In the studio, guests can enjoy 10 reformers in the space. Each trainer has their own style and many of the classes are designed to highlight that trainer's special approach to Pilates, but with the commonality that they are all guided by the unique approach of Karen Lord Pilates Movement. You'll experience the individualized attention from highly knowledgeable and truly loving trainers, but will be kept safe and guided throughout the entire experience. This studio is known for their individualized attention and focus in a well designed, clean and fashionable studio. In addition, this studio trains to the client's body and not the other way around.

In addition to group classes, private ones are also available each day. Clients can be matched with their ideal trainer depending upon their desires and needs.

Guests can enjoy changing rooms and bathrooms; however, showers are not available. Merchandise and apparel are for sale in the Love Shop- a well-curated collection of KLPM's favorite products and accessories.

In addition to this studio, Karen will be the headline Pilates instructor for Wanderlust this year in Squaw Valley as well as Seattle. There are a number of collaborations with local and national brands that will be coming up. Whether you can attend the studio or not, Karen Lord Pilates Movement will be releasing videos online in the next month so anyone worldwide can train with Karen.

Because of the commitment to this vision, there may be variations in the menu depending on the location that you are visiting.

Navigating the menu at any location allows culinary diversity whether you are dairy-free, soy-free, vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free and nut-free.
